I'm not convinced about dinosaurs

Recently I've been reading some websites about how the whole dinosaur industry is an elaborate scam. I'm almost believing that dinosaurs are just conjecture and fakery and that the whole thing is a huge money making exercise.

I'm not sure what to think because it sounds a bit bonkers to say you don't believe in dinosaurs, but actually when you read up on it it seems very likely it's true and they never existed.

Yep, some dinosaur bone sellers have broken into million + year old cliffs and mountains to plant the evidence. Tis a multi million pound industry the dino faking biz. Not to mention those bastards selling us all dino toys and t shirts an shit.

I would suggest you contact the Natural History Museum and ask them about the evidence they have that dinosaurs existed. You will find that they have bones, which can be analysed to demonstrate how long ago they were created. This is all based on scientific, replicable studies. So, if you could get hold of a fossil and the appropriate scientific equipment, you would be able to confirm the findings for yourself.

What are the websites you've been reading based on?

Can you think if the sheer effort key one the expense of creating fake dinosaur fossils, digging huge holes, burying them careful (all without anyone noticing) and then pretending to dig them up.

There are thousands of scientists working in this field. What do you think happens? They get their degrees and then a professors takes them aside and say ... actually

People have been digging up dinosaur bones for hundreds of not thousands of years. That's quite an impressive amount of time to keep a conspiracy going, across every continent and an awful lot of people.

The 'dinosaur industry' only started making serious money from the advent of films. Before that - why would you bother.

I think (maybe) that all the scientists believe it but the whole thing started with a lie and then snowballed. I think they're real bones etc but just not of dinosaurs.

I don't know. I'm not very mentally well at the moment so this belief (or disbelief) might be part of that.

I'd love some actual facts about how you know dinos are real.

I think my big question here would be - why would any one bother to create dinosaurs and co ordinate so many people globally in the lie - why?
But tbh - I am sceptical about China's terricotta Warriors being real so not immune to this kind of thing...
