MORTIFIED and don't know what to do!!

OK, so today I was having a meeting with the brand new big boss (to make it worse, I was being told off a bit) and when sitting in the big boss offices I LEAKED on someone else's chair........ I had a bad feeling when I got up and swiftly nipped it under the desk - I'm not sure if he saw... but tomorrow when they go back in they will see!! To make it worse, my card doesn't let me in that room, so I don't know how to fix it (to be honest I doubt it will come out anyway) What should I do? Leave it and hope nobody realises it was me? Try and get it swapped? I have no idea.... but I am completely humiliated :((( PLEASE any tips would be appreciated!!!

I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like you did it on purpose and anyone with half a brain cell would know that.

It's just one of those things that happens sometimes - just a natural bodily function. No need to be mortified.

Either befriend a cleaner, or pretend you didn't notice and do nothing.

What colour is the chair? Unless it's bright white it won't be nearly as bad by tomorrow.

I'm just going to pretend it wasn't me... Might wander in tomorrow with a coffee and accidentally spill some on the chair if I can get in. Or wheel it out into another floor far far far away...

Any mark could in theory have been left by someone else.
Was there any mark on your own outer clothing. If there I, it still doesn't mean it marked the chair - unless you actually saw it. ?

no one will know it was you. but unless you had a floaty skirt spread carefully around your body, surely there was a stain on your clothes too?

So what if we've had the same thread before? There are hundreds of duplicate threads on MN. Is it inconceivable that the same embarrassing thing could happen more than once? In this case it's very likely. In fact I'm suprised it hasn't happened more.

OP, there will have been loads of people who sat on that chair in the course of a day or week. No one will know it was you.
