Why can't I sign in mumsnet????

I've had to re register as the 6 reset password requests and the 4 emails to mumsnet have gone ignored

I'd imagine they're not so much ignoring emails as just at the end of their tether and clinging on to sanity by the tips of their fingers. Give them some time - they have rather a lot to deal with atm.

What Hassled said. They've probably got about eleventy billion e-mails from mumsnet members to work through right now, on top of all the other fallout from this hacker stuff.

Surely the password reset is automatic? How do I know my account hasnt been accessed and the details changed. I think that's worrying

I can't reset my password either. I get the link but it is never valid. I'll be sad if I can never get back in hafta admit.

Just give it some time, they've got enough on I think.

Unhappy - just reset your password through the link, it will take a while to come through, but it will come though.

Whilst you're waiting take the time to change any other accounts you may have a similar or weak password for (eg gmail/twitter/facebook)

The mobile password change isn't working. I had to go onto a laptop to change my password, once I did I could log on through my phone with the new password.

I'm pretty sure MN have said, and apologised for the mobile site not working for password changes.

I've been waiting for days. Surely it doesn't take days?

If it was, I suspect your account is blocked till this is sorted out. I would think you'll get access when this is sorted.

Probably a stupid question, but are you sure you're looking in your right e-mail account for the reset e-mail?

Waiting for days doesn't sound right though - I had a reset e-mail within about 30 seconds of requesting one.

My name was on the list. I got the email but had to try and reset a about four times.

On the main page there is an article - IIRC, your new password has to be ten characters long with at least one number or symbol. I was caught out by that until I read it.

If you're not getting the email then you probably registered under a different email address. I have two I use, one I used to register, the other I used for the review board thing. I'd forgotten I used my older one.

Can you try the desktop site through your iPad? Scroll to the bottom of the page and there's the link to the desktop site

I wasn't on the list. I've tried laptop and mobile to reset and I can't even log in with my own Facebook, it says password is invalid..I had to use my husbands because I needed to send a PM.

It doesn't matter I'm happy with a new account until it's blown over.

I had the same yesterday. Tried half a dozen times from my ipad.
It kept saying the link had expired. Could only get a useable link via my laptop.

Just to say I had a bit of bother with the resets too, kept saying not valid so I had to try various different types with different lengths/ numbers/ characters until it found one it liked. Give that a go? Also I tried a similar take on the previous password but with a symbol and it didn't like it, maybe try something completely different as I did and use at least 1 capital.

I've just got back in finally! Thanks to the above posts, my new password wasn't long enough.

My password reset emails never came through, not even to spam, so I had to get a new email address and create a new account, did that happen to anyone else?

Yes it's the correct email address ,I guess I'll just use this until sorted
