Why can't I sign in mumsnet????

I've had to re register as the 6 reset password requests and the 4 emails to mumsnet have gone ignored

I had to change my password and can confirm it works on an ipad using the Desktop version.

The link for the password reset, which takes you to the reset password dialogue box arrives instantly, in the time it takes to go from the website to email.

My attempts at password resetting didn't work at first as they were too short.

It has to be at least ten characters and include symbols/numbers. The reset link only works once so I needed several reset emails until I was successful in choosing a strong password.

Has your reset link gone to spam? Do you normally get regular mumsnet emails?

OP, I had to spend the whole day without mn yesterday (will bear the scars for a long time lol) because my reset email was not answered immediately and I had to leave for work. Thankfully, by the time I was able to check my emails later in the day, I had received one four Grin and was able to set a new password. I had no idea mn had become so important to me Hmm.

I got a bit spooked because the link in the requested reset said it had expired, even though it had only just arrived.

I emailed MN, and that seems to be the default description of a non-working link whatever the cause. It actually wasn't working because of volume of requests, and the message was essentially keep trying.

It has taken a long time for emails to be answered (over a day), but I can appreciate why.

(I will however report this post, so MNHQ know this thread is here in case they want to comment and have time to do so).

I couldn't get the reset link to work, and as I'm away on holiday I can't try with the laptop. SO, I have set up a new account instead, and abandoned my old one. I used to be mindthegap79 and I am excited to relaunch.

How do you know if you're on the list? I did read the sticky & it linked to a 'find out if you're on the list' thread...except it didn't

I tried logging on this afternoon with my new password. It seemed to accept it, but then the same main page appeared, with me obviously not logged in. (Where it would say "My mumsnet" it had the login button.
I tried a few more times, but clicking on the login button just refreshed the main page. I closed the browser and tried again. It worked. I've also noticed in the past few days I am only allowed in if I tick the "leave me logged in" box, (or whatever it says).

I couldn't log in no matter how many times I changed my password and got an email saying to try changing password or re register, so I've set up a new account.

It's a bit sad to lose all the threads I was watching though Sad
