To ask how much your water bills are?

Sorry to be nosy, but we have recently had our water meter 'upgraded' to a smart version, which means, apparently, that the water company can drive past the house, point a device and read our meter without coming in to the house.

But our water bill has shot up.

I am of the opinion that our old meter was not working properly and that we have been undercharged for years.

DH thinks DD has started having too many baths.

I have 4 friends all living witching a few hundred yards of each other and our monthly water charges vary from £20 to £60 no idea why!

Mines £50 a month 2 adults one 4yo.

£44 a month. 2 adults one 3yo.

£25 a month. That's with 2 of us taking 2 showers per day each and me taking 2 baths a week.

Roughly £300 every six months. We are on a water meter.

Bloody hell, I need to get onto a meter. Mine's £70 a month for two of us, and we're quite sparing with water!

My direct debit is for £73 quid a month. Not sure how many months if the year this is!!! Jeez that is a lot.

About £75 a month. For a single parent with 2 kids...

Really easy to get a meter put in. Just phone your water company and they'll sort it out for you. You don't normally even need to be in when they do it.

45 a month for 5 of us (3 dcs).
Min 2 showers a day. Min 3 baths a week.
Everyone drinks water/squash.
Min 1 washer load a day.
Min 1 run of dishwasher a day.

£70 a month!!

Mine is about £8 a month and is paid to the landlord as part of my rent. No water metre here.

Oh our £30 isn't on a meter, just a standard direct debit.

Have a decent sized house (4 bed, 3 bathroom) but it's just DP, me and 1year old DS, it is £39 per month direct debit and that covers it. That's quite good as I usually use the washing machine once a day, the dishwasher once a day, plus each have a bath or shower each day.

No meter £33 a month Direct debit. Only DS and I in house now.
