A lone driver took the last parent & child parking space. So instead of finding somewhere else to park like a sensible person would she blocked him in for 20 minutes.

Was she BU?

Daily Mail link complete with sad face

Sirzy · 23/07/2015 21:48

Yes she was being unreasonable. Both to park like and idiot and to go running to the daily mail about it

ChaosTrulyReigns · 23/07/2015 21:50

If she was, se wouldn't admit it. She'd be drummed off the boards fir reading the Daily Mail.

And it's a bit, um, overinvested, innit?

WorraLiberty · 23/07/2015 21:52

A spokesman for Sainsbury's said while it encouraged customers to report incidents of 'incorrect' parking to staff, Ms Ramscar's decision to leave her car in the middle of the lane blocked the entire car park and not just her intended target.

Stupid twat

So because she was inconvenienced she thought she'd inconvenience every one else? Hmm

Sidge · 23/07/2015 21:54

She was ridiculous. Parent and child spaces are a courtesy, not an entitlement. She has no justification for parking like a twat and causing a hazard in a car park just because she feels a bit hard done by.

DoeEyedNear · 23/07/2015 22:01

She's a twat. There is no legal right to those spaces and anyone can park in them. First come first served in my eyes

AngularMurky · 23/07/2015 22:29

Just realised the Mail have uploaded the film she took of him returning to his blocked in car Shock

Come on, Claire, you must be a MumsNetter!

OP posts:
LavenderLeigh · 23/07/2015 22:36

Definitely a twat.
She didn't exactly live up to her surname either!

WankerDeAsalWipe · 23/07/2015 22:37

I noticed it didn't say how old her children were either - probably well capable of getting out a car in a normal space and walking into the store...

Yes, it does hack me off when people are so entitled as to use spaces not intended for them, but I don't see what she did is any better or any less entitled.

AnyoneForTennis · 23/07/2015 22:43

She's localish to me... So I just looked her up on fb

Her girls look around 5 and 2?

Oh, and we have mutual friends on fb as well lol

MQv2 · 23/07/2015 22:45

She seems like a self entitled cunt tbf

WankerDeAsalWipe · 23/07/2015 22:48

ok so a P&C space would have been useful but not a necessity.

SaucyJack · 23/07/2015 22:49

She was OTT, but if you take a P&C space without an identified need for wide access or to be near the shop you are a lazy selfish cunt. No ifs or buts.

Passmethecrisps · 23/07/2015 22:49

Did she abandon the car with the kids in?

MN no no that is it not?

She is a twat for not just finding another space.

Passmethecrisps · 23/07/2015 22:50

Sorry - she behaved like a twat. She isn't one.

WorraLiberty · 23/07/2015 22:52

She didn't exactly live up to her surname either!

Grin Grin

thecatfromjapan · 23/07/2015 22:54

I wish people didn't get so angry about driving - (and parking - ) related stuff.
HmmIt's so incredibly unnecessary.

I'm convinced she is Grin
Feel sorry for her, she seems like she just snapped lol

WhyIRayLiotta · 23/07/2015 23:08

Ramscar! She should have!

ADishBestEatenCold · 23/07/2015 23:10

"but if you take a P&C space without an identified need for wide access"

What would be an 'identified need', Saucy, and whose job would it be to identify it?

SaucyJack · 23/07/2015 23:15

An actual need Dish. It isn't rocket science. Whether it's because you have your baby in the back, or your DH has broken his leg or your elderly great-grandmother needs the extra room to get her walking stick out.

Nobody needs to police it. People just need to stop being pricks.

AngularMurky · 23/07/2015 23:27

So if the last P&C spot had been taken by someone with kids wouldn't Claire just have parked in a regular space and managed to get out her 5 and 2 year old out without any trouble?

OP posts:
DoeEyedNear · 23/07/2015 23:28

This is where I interrupt with a polite reminder that not all disabilities are visible and not all enable you to have a blue badge.

Due to this I shall continue to use p&c spaces and if anyone does this or picks a fight with me I'll be getting them done for disability discrimination

DoeEyedNear · 23/07/2015 23:29

As in picks a fight in person. On mumsnet I can hold my own Grin

MistressMerryWeather · 23/07/2015 23:29

Argh! I hate this stuff, the constant cringing is bad for my back.

She has probably dreamt of this moment, circling the car park day after day just waiting. Scrutinising every passenger that parks in a P&C space with a mixture of hope and fury.

Well, you've done it now Claire, you're finally in the Daily Mail. Don't forget the required Facebook page set up for like minded people to protest on.
