To have discreetly weed in the garden?

With the hot weather, I've had the paddling pool out for my 2 year old, and have also been drinking lots of water with the expected results.

Faced with the choice of
A) leave toddler unsupervised near the pool, knowing that I would be at least 2 minutes due to no downstairs toilet
B) drag toddler inside kicking and screaming in protest at being made to leave the pool
Or c) make sure no one could see and wee in the garden
I felt c) was the easiest option! So AIBU to have chosen that one?

I thought this was going to be about smoking cannabis discreetly. I was very confused how a paddling came into it

WorraLiberty · 04/07/2015 21:05

As long as you chucked some water over it

CainInThePunting · 04/07/2015 21:06

No, heavy rain is forecast so any residue will be washed away.
All things considered, perfectly U.
Good job.

AuntyMag10 · 04/07/2015 21:07

I guess as you had no choice it's fine as leaving the lo alone is a no no.

meercat23 · 04/07/2015 21:07

My husband is always weeding in the garden! Sorry Blush

AlpacaLypse · 04/07/2015 21:09

I rather like doing the odd wee in the garden. Makes me feel closer to nature...

Lorialet · 04/07/2015 21:10

I thought human wee attracted rats. Maybe chuck a couple of buckets of water over it to make sure it's washed away.

iwouldgoouttonight · 04/07/2015 21:10

It had supposed to help the composting process if you wee on it.

I think I heard that somewhere.

YWNBU anyway.

SleepyForest · 04/07/2015 21:12

You do realise that now your toddler will always want to do a "nature wee"?

Peeing in a bush is a useful skill to have.

Lorialet · 04/07/2015 21:13

Actually, having googled it, it appears wee repels rats!

CrohnicallyAspie · 04/07/2015 21:13

Of course worra I poured some paddling pool water over it! I'm not a heathen! It just felt like double standards because DD is potty training so I don't let her just wee on the grass in case it confuses her.

I thought it was going to be about the OP digging up the dandelions. Discreetly. Not overtly.

Gruntfuttock · 04/07/2015 21:14

I can't say that I care what you do in your own garden, but I do think it's rather strange to decide to start a thread about it. If I'd done that, and I never have, I'd keep it to myself.

CrohnicallyAspie · 04/07/2015 21:14

sleepy she always wants to do nature wees anyway! she sees my mums dog do it and wants to copy. But she's only allowed if there's genuinely no toilet nearby. (Less said about the unexpected nature poo the better!)

YANBU

CrohnicallyAspie · 04/07/2015 21:17

grunt I am rather strange and have some strange habits. I started a thread because it's something I wouldn't discuss in RL but I was just interested as to whether this was a 'eww gross, can't believe you did that' 'meh, whatever' or 'everybody does that' sort of occurrence.

BlackBettyBamALam · 04/07/2015 21:17

I'd have done the same thing, given the circumstances.

pollyisnotputtingthekettleon · 04/07/2015 21:17

We`ve all been there. Nice breeze and a quick shake, bobs your aunty.

CrohnicallyAspie · 04/07/2015 21:20

pumpkin I did pull up a few stray plants while the toddler wasn't looking- if she sees me then she wants to dig up and pull out all the plants including my lovely strawberries!

SchwarzwalderKirschtorte · 04/07/2015 21:20

I've done it on a campsite when I didn't want to trek to the toilet block alone.

This was about 3am before anyone asks.

LegoComplex · 04/07/2015 21:21

yanbu i almost did that the other day when there was a wasp in my toilet!

Alchemist · 04/07/2015 21:22

Re: the compost peeing. I've read/heard/have the info in my head that male urine is ok on compost but female isn't.

Does anyone know if that's true?

Gileswithachainsaw · 04/07/2015 21:23

I'm gonna have to say ywbu to he so I necessarily lazy and disgusting.

but your garden your choice.

but tantrums from two year olds are a regular occurrence and you can't spend your life weeing in gardens rather than "upsetting" them.

Gileswithachainsaw · 04/07/2015 21:24

unnecessarily

excuse typos

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 04/07/2015 21:25

Oh dear Giles, overreaction much?

Are you sniffing into a bottle of smelling salts at the thought of URINE in a garden??ShockShockShockShockWink
