A man just pushed over my dn

We were in the supermarket with 3dc all under 4, dn who was pushed is 2 1/2. Dn accidentally bumped into a man and he pushed her by the head and she smacked her head on the floor, she's ok but shaken up.

The supermarket are reviewing the cctv as the man had gone by the time we had picked her up and tried to console her.

I'm furious and very glad she's ok, AIBU to call the police if I have cctv?

What if he hurts another child worse than a bump on the head.

No other witness that I know apart from me and other dc. It happened so quickly :(

It's very quiet there in the evenings so it won't be hard to spot on the cctv. I'm waiting for them to call be back about the cctv.

How awful! That's assault, definitely speak to police. I would speak to them whether or not the shop cctv comes through. They might be able to spot him on a nearby camera.

If he'll do that to a 2 year old. Good knows what he'd do to an adult who bumped into him.
Don't worry too much about not having witnesses. The CCTV is your strongest witness.

The shop was disgusted and reviewing it as I type and I'm waiting for the call, then I'll call he police. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't over reacting by calling police.

Poor dn is really shaky, she's never been physically hurt by an adult (obviously she's been pushed by other kids etc) but an adult hurting her purposely has never happened.

No I didn't see it, but something about the MO rang a bell.
My DD was assaulted in v similar circs a few years ago (the head grab/push).
It's a guy who is notorious here for being aggressive and violent towards children and mums.
