Walking dog this evening. Quite a rural area and weather awful. We had passed a few people but we were now on a lesser travelled path (justifying myself) though still a chance of meeting someone.

I was 'caught short' and I was bursting! This happens a lot but I was so uncomfortable and really couldn't wait. So I weed behind a tree Blush. I made my dog sit on the path to 'look out' and she was Hmm.

Aibu to have done this? I'm inclined to think meh when you got to go.....but am slightly concerned this may not be acceptable in modern society!

Would also be interested in hearing other wee stories. To make me feel better Grin

Disclaimer: have not weed outside since I was about five, so this was quite a big deal for me

OP, YNBU. Like many others on here, I have also enjoyed many an al fresco wee. The messages reminded of the time I had to go with new born baby in a sling on my front, a rucksack on my back and couldn't hold on as had stitches and was very sore. I was on a busy river path and had nowhere to hide. Got away with it - just!

HarrietSchulenberg and Thiskiwicanfly, you both made me snort through my nose and MyCatIsAGit, I did this on millennium NYE as well, but I did it in a discrete shop doorway somewhere - no idea where... my friend and I got totally lost and ended up walking for hours all over London.

Yes, yanbu at all. I sometimes wee in our woods so as not to wake the children (very squeaky door)

I haven't perfected weeing in the sea on holiday without doing 'the face' though.

I think you can make a good case for al fresco wees being more environmentally friendly. After all, it saves flushing a toilet using water pure enough to drink.

Many horses and dogs are used to their owners peeing outdoors and since that's what they do, are pretty good about it ("no, it's fine, I'll stand here and graze, you do what you've got to do. I might just stand up hill from you though").

On one occasion as I was gunning down a hill at about 25mph on my bike I spied ahead of me one man holding two bikes. It took a while for my brain to catch up and register where the other man was. Anyway, I had to stop where they were because it's a nasty junction. Part of my brain was saying "don't, don't do it, don't start flirting with a man with his penis in his hand just because he's cute and you like men on bikes". But too late, off I go, yabber yabber yabber with his poor mate standing there wearing an expression that said "how, how did I end up in this situation" whilst peeing man seemed quite content to chat about hill cycling.

I live rurally and I reckon I wee outdoors almost as much as I wee indoors.
YANBU at all.
Wee away.

Thanks for all the replies. So general consensus is that it's ok to do this. I will definately do it again Grin
