My DD 19 has written her name on some popcorn she brought and I am very tempted to write my name on everything I have brought which would be everything else in the kitchen cupboards! I know it would be very childish but I am so tempted

Do it!

TapDancingMollusc · 28/04/2015 09:10

Just get a huge party banner with your name on it and drape it across all the cupboards. Grin

justcrazy · 28/04/2015 09:13

Like the idea of the banner Tap Grin

My sister used to do this when she lived at home with me and my parents. She quickly stopped it when she realised that when we all labelled our stuff and she wasn't allowed to use it she was left with a couple ready meals, a block of cheese and a bag of rice. We also stopped making her dinner. She never labelled her food again.

I may be really awful and bake her favourite cake then label it

I would get a chain and lock for the bloody cupboard too with a sign that says "mum's food" Grin

Summerisle1 · 28/04/2015 12:10

Do it!

StackladysMorphicResonator · 28/04/2015 12:23

You must do this and report back!

justcrazy · 28/04/2015 14:12

I really would do it. At 19 that's bloody rude!

SaucyJack · 28/04/2015 14:19

Don't forget to label the loo roll!

BrockAuLit · 28/04/2015 14:20

Nice work, OP. Can you bake the cake in the shape of her initials?

justcrazy · 28/04/2015 15:48

Cake is made and label on, now just to wait until she gets home. My DS thinks its hilarious and has even offered to help put post it notes on everything in the house!!

GloGirl · 28/04/2015 17:02

Ha! Hope it works Grin

justcrazy · 28/04/2015 17:46

I think she's got the MSG as she has just offered to share her popcorn with me and her brother.

Nicely done OP Grin

LillyBugg · 28/04/2015 20:35

This is the kind of parenting I need to learn. Well done OP.

lescec · 28/04/2015 21:31

She likes popcorn and wants it to be there when she's ready to eat it. Did she buy it with her own money? More to the point, why is she insecure enough to think she needs to label it?

cleanmyhouse · 28/04/2015 22:11

Insecure? What?

She just wanted to keep her popcorn. I don't think theres any mystery.

justcrazy · 29/04/2015 08:33

Lescec she is not insecure, she is a very confident young women. Sometimes though she can display usual teenage selfishness. Yes she did buy it with her own money just as I buy everything else with mine and even popcorn regularly.
