AIBU to write my name on everything?

My DD 19 has written her name on some popcorn she brought and I am very tempted to write my name on everything I have brought which would be everything else in the kitchen cupboards! I know it would be very childish but I am so tempted

She likes popcorn and wants it to be there when she's ready to eat it. Did she buy it with her own money? More to the point, why is she insecure enough to think she needs to label it?

Really?! Perhaps the poor girl needs counselling to overcome her popcorn-abusive family too? FGS.

Well done. Point made Happenstance Now eagerly awaiting next thread "My 19 year old Dd has been hiding popcorn in her room to stop it being eaten by me and her Db and now we have a plague of mice!"

Did you ice your name on top or just spell it out in walnut halves?

windchime · 29/04/2015 14:44

My DD's name on a packet of popcorn would make me eat it sooner and faster Grin

My DM and DB had an ongoing dispute around this, but from a different angle. DB had some penguin-shaped juggling beanbag thingys. He was practising, and DM kept getting hit by rogue flying penguins. In an effort to determine whether it was a team effort or one penguin with a grudge, she wrote "Fred" on the label of the next penguin to hit her.

DB went nuts about her writing on his stuff. For months afterwards she would find "Fred" written on random possessions of hers.

It was very funny from a safe distance.
