Not at all! Dc were 10 & 8 & I was 37 when dc 3 arrived.

Ineedmorepatience · 27/04/2015 18:02

No way, go for it, I had Dd3 at 35, Dd1 was 14 and Dd2 was 7.

Best thing I ever did, completely changed my life Smile

Women have children in their 40's. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

My DH is 32 though and says he's too old for us to have a second Grin

wickedwaterwitch · 27/04/2015 18:04

30 isn't too old at all!

Favouritethings · 27/04/2015 18:06

I feel it some days! I think I'm more concerned about the age gap. They also get on fabulously and worry how number 3 might change the dynamic

Too late? Sounds great. Go for it.

LittleMissCrankyPants · 27/04/2015 18:07

I was 33 when number 3 arrived DC were 6 and 9. Number 4 arrived a couple of years later. Go for it!

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 27/04/2015 18:07

Seriously? You must know that many, many women (most? not sure) only start having children in their 30's. What makes you think you've left it late? You can't be unaware of the fact that women go on having babies into their 40's.

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 27/04/2015 18:11

I was 33 when DD1 was born and 35 for DS1- 30 isn't even remotely too late.

Seriously im 39 no dc but hopeful....

NorahM · 27/04/2015 18:12

I'm 35 and pregnant with DC. DC1 will be 10 and DC2 will be 7.5 when this one is here. Yeah, I do worry about the age gap sometimes, but I honestly don't believe it's that bad.

BikeRunSki · 27/04/2015 18:15

I didn't start until I was 37.... Stopped with 2 at 40. Would have considered more if I hadn't had Hyperemisis both times.

Madamecastafiore · 27/04/2015 18:16

I had DD2 when I was 40. DD1 was 13 and DS was 9.

So no, you've got years!

TheWildOnes · 27/04/2015 18:18

Im 31 and due DC3 in 3 weeks. DD is 11 and DS is 7. I must admit im also worried about the age gap.

Mozzereena · 27/04/2015 18:18

No it's nowhere near too late for number 3.
Perhaps you are having doubts because it's too soon yet?
My DDs were 15 and 16 when we had DS. He is our world. :)

BigBirthdayGloom · 27/04/2015 18:19

Blimey, had my first at 32, second at 35 and third at 37 so no, not at all. And the fertility doctor we had to see to get pregnant with all (dh prob) was totally unexcited by me being 31 - told me I was young. And 5 years is a nice age gap-baby while others at school and the other two will love having a little one around.

Rebecca2014 · 27/04/2015 18:22

Is this a joke?

cococandyfloss · 27/04/2015 18:23

I had dc3 aged 32 when ds was 7.5 and dd was 4.5 -they both got on really well together and dd2 just brought a new dynamic to the family. Because of their ages it has been easier with dc3 -the older two were old enough to understand what was going on and ds1 especially is so good with his little sister she dotes on him.He is now 11 and they currently walk to school and pre school with dd2 choosing to hold her big brothers hand over mine. When we get to her preschool my two older dc's help change her shoes and help her sign in and hang up her bag etc -they really look out for her but still enjoy playing with her and her company too.

RabbitSaysWoof · 27/04/2015 18:23

I have 2 pregnant friends atm, one has a 17 year old and a 15 year old and is 36, one has a 15 year old a 13 year old and a 9 year old and is 37.
I've lost count of the 'am I mad?' threads when people canvass opinion on having say 3 under 5 at the same time. I think everyone has a wobble about something.

EponasWildDaughter · 27/04/2015 18:23

The gap between 2 of my DCs is 17 years and that's all fine - you've nothing to fret about Grin

ConnieBaby · 27/04/2015 18:24
Shock I have 4 children. At 30, I didn't have any. Didn't stop until 44!
EponasWildDaughter · 27/04/2015 18:25

Oh, i've done the 3 under 5 thing as well. Yep, that was hard.

tilliebob · 27/04/2015 18:27

My long awaited dc3 appeared when his siblings were 7 and 9 and I was 38. I hardly think you've missed the boat OP.

I don't think it's anywhere near too late! Although I may be biased....I'm expecting number 5 - my 4 DS's are aged from nearly 12 to nearly 18 and I'll be 41 1/2 when baby arrives. My DP has 2 DD's too who will be 9 and 11. Smile
