To be really pissed off with my thoughtless DH and DD

All I wanted for Mother's Day was a lie in and a cup of tea and toast.

DH and DD woke me at 9.45 (so much for a precious lie in) and presented me with a tray bearing croissants, pain au chocolat and a cafetiere of coffee. And a new Emma Bridgewater mug to drink said coffee from. And a vase of flowers. And some gift wrapped stuff which I can't be arsed opening.

All I wanted was a lie in as I'm usually woken at 8.30 by DD (5) when she kisses me before she leaves for school every morning.

AIBU?

"Woken by 5 year old DD when she leaves for school."

Who normally takes her after getting her ready and making breakfast for her?

ConstanceMoan · 15/03/2015 10:19

And the bastard DH has just rung his Mum to wish her Happy Mother's Day! It's my turn now; I'm the one doing the active mothering making sure the nanny keeps DD fed, clothed, watered and exercised MIL has had her turn and should fuck right off!

5.30 for me but as DS has been sick and is now better I really can't complain Smile

Dontunderstand01 · 15/03/2015 10:21

Maybe you should demand they make a 3 course meal for teato make up for their insolence?

cleanmyhouse · 15/03/2015 10:22

Pack a bag, leave immediately. Get a good lawyer. Phone CAB. For one thing, thats too much sugar. I bet they've parked accross the driveway too. I expect your MIL is behind this.
