To be really pissed off with my thoughtless DH and DD

All I wanted for Mother's Day was a lie in and a cup of tea and toast.

DH and DD woke me at 9.45 (so much for a precious lie in) and presented me with a tray bearing croissants, pain au chocolat and a cafetiere of coffee. And a new Emma Bridgewater mug to drink said coffee from. And a vase of flowers. And some gift wrapped stuff which I can't be arsed opening.

All I wanted was a lie in as I'm usually woken at 8.30 by DD (5) when she kisses me before she leaves for school every morning.

I demanded hinted at an Aston Martin and a diamond tiara to do all my Mummy chores in.

Did I get them? Did I hell. All I got was a lovely handbag and a beautiful photo frame, both chosen by ds2. Oh and a home made 'card' from ds2 (it didn't even have a cheque in it! ) DS1 even had the temerity to phone early to wish me a happy Mother's Day. Don't students care any more?

And now DH is making lunch- like THAT will make up for his poor performance.

Just noticed this post, sorry I wasn't there to HH yesterday FWIW DS (3) couldn't be arsed to write his own card for me, the nursery staff wrote it and he just made a scribble which doesn't even look like his name. Selfish bastard.
