Hey everyone, I am very new to this page, and don't know if anyone will even be able to read this! but here goes..

Me and my other half have been ttc for 5 years. I have pcos, I have since I was 14/15 and I'm now 23 my tubes are all fine and health wise I'm doing good other than the common side effects to PCOS such as unwanted hair, over weight, mood swings etc .. Anyway me and my other half are on our first round of clomid the doctor has finally done something! we have been left for so long with no help .. Even though we are finally on the right tracks I feel very disheartened every month and my motivation gets weaker and weaker when I see that dreaded negative test!
I'm on 50mg of clomid from day 2-6 of my cycle and had wonderful news on it actually making me ovulate I had a score of 34 if that makes any sense.. I'm feeling all the symptoms however I don't trust them until I see that "positive" I get symptoms every month (phantom pregnancy). Is anyone else going through the same? Does any have any success stories? .. I know I sound all doom and gloom just a bit fed up and need to hear some positive stories.
Thank you to anyone who reads this and I hope if anyone else out there is feeling like me they can find their answers and get their wishes for a baby!

Kim x

I suffered with secondary infertility due to pcos
Fell for my first daughter naturally
Tried for 8 years for another but nothing so went on 100mg of clomid days 2-6 and fell the very first time and had my second daughter.
I also had the pregnyl injection with clomid I swear it works wonders! Ask your doctor about it. Once the eggs have reached the suitable size for ovulation the pregnyl injection then forces the eggs to be released and then you ovulate within 24-48 hrs.
With clomid and pregnyl together your chances of success are so much higher!

Once my second daughter was about 4 months old can you imagine my surprise when I found out I was pregnant naturally and had a boy last year!!! Nature’s a funny thing! Good luck x

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. Smile

Myself and my husband have been TTC for two years this year and are on our third round of Clomid. I'm just looking for advice really. I have been told to take Clomid from days 5-9. My concern is I spot for sometime 3/4 days before any period come. Not to be graphic but the spotting is usually brown and then when my period comes it's heavy and last 2/3 days. I've been ignoring the spotting and doing day 5 from the heavy period. Am I doing the right thing or as soon as I see spotting should I be counting that as day 1? Also does anyone know why some people do days 5-9 and some do 2-6 or 3-7. Would really love to hear your feedback xx

It depends how severe your PCOS is. I have severe PCOS and Clomid, while it gave me OHSS, didn’t actually help me ovulate. Only injectables and IVF treatment worked for me. Clomid only really works when you have PCOS that can be controlled by weight loss / diet.
