Does no one else have problems with mn on iPad

Letters I type appear ten or twenty seconds later and that's assuming the keyboard hasn't popped up and vanished. Repeatedly. In the meantime while trying to click on the a, I've clicked on the emoticons lin and lost anything I typed
I can type in emails. My phone seems ok with mn. So what is going on.

Yes, I've had that too recently. I just thought the iPad's memory was filling up or something, but now you mention it, everything else is fine, so it may be this site.

I'm not having any probs with responsiveness on my iPad at the moment.

The only thing I do find is that when I'm halfway through a post, go to another tab to look something up, then go back to mumsnet, it refreshes the page so I lose my post.

I have this exact problem but not with MN, I struggle with the apple forums on my iPad. It does everything you describe and also inserts random words in between my typing as though I'd pressed copy/paste. No other website is affected so I blamed the page rather than my iPad.

I wonder if it's some issue with the auto-complete (or whatever it is called, as that obviously needs to look up words as you type and maybe that function is running slowly).

I don't have any problem at all with mn on ipad. I use the desktop version not the mobile app and have it bookmarked so there is an icon to click. I very very occasionally have a slight delay as I type. My ipad is quite old and I bought it second hand. I find it very responsive.

It's not just you, I find MN very slow in my iPad. It's fine on my laptop and we have super speedy broadband, so it's not that. Bloody apple hates MN.

I had similar problems with my old iPad after I (naively) upgraded to IOS 8.
In desperation, can't survive without Mumsnet I bought myself for Xmas a new iPad Air 64 Gb, which is fine. I've now learnt never to upgrade IOS - it's just Apple's way of getting you to buy new gadgets every couple of years.
I don't like the Mumsnet App, so I just use my Safari bookmarks

Bigchoc do NOT talk to me about the bastard ios8 update on the iPad. I have been tearing my hair out since I did it and regretting it ever since.

The delays, the freezing, the twatty auto fill, the 'there is a problem with this page, reloading' , bloody everything is affected.

I've tried various tricks and fixes and I'm currently trying to get my head round uninstalling ios8 and reinstalling 7.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it
