To think this can't have been a prank?

So I went to my friends with a few others for a Halloween takeaway/film night. Had a good time and set off home at 12:15am dropping off another friend on the way.
Pull down my road and turn in to my car port (which is a blind corner with a huge bush in the way) to find a 13/14 year old girls body unconscious face down covered in what I can only assume was fake blood and almost ran her over!
This gets a lot stranger so please keep reading.

I live on a military base abroad so usually very safe nothing dramatic ever happens. Anyway, I shout to her several times as I am so scared I am shaking and crying by this point and I'm heavily pregnant which doesn't help my crazy emotions. I say I'm going to ring an ambulance in case she was just messing around but I hadn't seen her move at this point. So I'm on the phone for 5 minutes and they are on their way and I notice next doors lights are on so I waddle round to get them which took 2 minutes max. Take them round and the girl has vanished!!! I'm not even joking.
She had no shoes on and wasn't moving and she did a runner! The ambulance comes flying round the corner and I have to explain she's gone (husband is a medic so I know them but he's currently away so not around to help) and I feel like an actual crazy person!

They went out to search for her and the police came round to take a description etc but I don't know if they found her! I can't get the image out my head of this body on my drive and my mum mentioned it could be a prank but seriously no one would go that far??

Oh, how strange and horrible! I do hope it was a (very cruel) prank because the alternative is worse.

I think it probably was a (sick) joke which went too far and she got scared and legged it

I understand you are freaked - but really, what other explanation is there?

The choices are:
a) you imagined it;
b) there was someone there pulling a prank, who got up and ran away when they heard you panicking and ringing for an ambulance;
c) zombies;
d) someone was not only murdered on your property, but then the murderer left the body for you to find but then came back?

I guess the murder scenario could have happened, but I think as it's Halloween it's much more likely to be b)!

I don't blame you for being freaked out, have a cup of tea and calm down.

Who knows

If it's not a prank then I hope she's ok

Yes I hope she is ok and not actually injured she just gave me a huge fright!
She genuinely looked passed out and I could smell alcohol but just odd there was no one else around or any parents missing such a young girl that late!

Also no idea how/why she would know when I would be home etc??

And to lay somewhere so dangerous I almost ran her over! My car port is really steep and I have a big 4x4 so it's hard to see over the bonnet going up. I only stopped as I thought it was rubbish someone had left there.

How horrid. Did you actually check the girl? Are you sure it was a real person and not a dummy?

Babyleopard23 · 01/11/2014 00:18

I was honestly too scared to go over too close which sounds ridiculous but I just panicked. She was 100% real as she moved her arm a few times but genuinely looked unconscious.

Perhaps she was trying to trick a friend but got the houses confused and then when she heard you freaking out she ran because she didn't want to get in trouble?

I hope it was a prank though, how awful if she was harmed.

Of course it was a prank. I bet life on a military base is generally pretty dull for teenagers.

It's anything but dull here in Cyprus! Not so dull they should feel the need to scare a pregnant lady so badly when her husband is deployed (I understand they wouldn't know this as I don't know them but i feel genuinely anxious at the moment anyway and now I feel scared in my own home if this was a stupid prank Sad ) but I will be able to find out tomorrow who it was as it's a small place.

Of course you're right- I shouldn't have been so flippant. Are you ok now? I'm sure it's just some twit having a laugh though.

I hope so as I hate to think she was hurt!
I'm ok thanks just can't get the image of her out my head and wishing hubby was here for comfort I get scared so easily!

Try not to worry- the police are on the case, and if there's a real problem they would sort it out.

Hope you find out what as going on for your own peace of mind OP.

Remember, most teenagers are just plain stupid. They think something like this is a brilliant, hilarious prank and somehow their similarly idiotic friends are drawn in by the whole affair. They never imagine it will go horribly tits up so when it does they run!

I hope this is the case and that the girl is actually safe and sound. try not to worry and rest up Thanks

This would have scared me witless. Even knowing it was a prank. I'm crap at Halloween.

I hope your ok OP and managed some sleep. I also hope you find out who it was, even if it's just so they know the effect they've had. Maybe make them think twice in future.

No wonder you had a shock. Sounds like a foolish and ill judged prank.

callmewhatever · 01/11/2014 06:46

My thoughts would be that it wasn't a prank, but wasn't as sinister as assault/murder. Something along the lines of a really drunk teen who was at a Halloween party (fake blood and all the trimmings)and maybe passed out through alcohol on your drive then came round after getting 'disturbed' by you and done a runner before anyone could speak to her. Hopefully she is Ok and your not to shaken up by the events.

Babyleopard23 · 01/11/2014 07:42

Just to clarify it wasn't a ghost she was very real!

I have a feeling she just got really drunk, passed out then came round as I was on the phone as my car lights were on her too, then thought she would be in trouble so took off! My friend works in the med centre here so she's going to find out today if anyone got taken in last night.

I did have a dream though that she was hiding out in the bush outside my house and appeared in the morning!

Such an odd thing to happen. I'm ok now and managed to sleep a bit!
