TO BE MISSED OFF THAT DP HAS LEFT A TRAIL OF HIS SHITE ALL OVER THE PLACE THIS MORNING?????

losthermind · 08/09/2014 10:27

DP woke me at 5.45 with his clumsy arse self pissing around in the bedroom this morning, he never thinks to just grab all the stuff he needs, which I do if I'm up and out before he needs to be. I heard him leave the house at 7.30 so got out of bed, there was a wet towel on the bedroom floor Hmm.... I get on the landing and his extension lead is all unravelled on the top of the landing cos he couldn't be arsed to move it, 3 chargers on the floor, phone, toothbrush and shavers....bathroom floor is saturated because he didn't have the shower visor situated properly THIS IS ONE OF HIS PET HATES IF ANYONE ELSE DOES IT.
I get to the bottom of the stairs and his pj top is at the door.....enter the living room to the sofa upside down, cushions on the floor and valium powder all over the floor!!!!!!!!! Reach the kitchen to his pj bottoms and a saturated towel thrown on the floor!!!!!! The DC don't make as much carnage as he does, and I think hes a cheeky bleeder for leaving shit all over the show for me to pick up. If it wasn't for the letting agency coming to do their 6 monthly review Id leave it all for him to move himself. Royally pissed off and feel like a dogsbody......arse

Oh thank gods I actually thought from the title he'd left poo everywhere Shock

But that is still bad so YANBU to be annoyed. My DH is not dissimilar Angry

Callani · 08/09/2014 10:33

YAsoNBU - do you have a phone with a camera on it? I'd video all the carnage and send it to him and ask him why he thinks it's appropriate to treat you as a maid.

Thinks like this REALLY boil my piss

PedlarsSpanner · 08/09/2014 10:34

Take pics before you clear up and brandish at him later

Callani · 08/09/2014 10:36

*Things, not thinks!

losthermind · 08/09/2014 10:37

Lol rubbish!!! I think thats the only thing he didn't leave for me to clean, just put me in a bad mood before I even got the kettle boiled......I then got a text off him with a simple X on it, so the cheeky arse obviously knows hes dropped a bollock and doesn't want to get shouted atAngry

I have to say I am relived that it isn't a trail of actual shit. But you are totally not BU. I don't understand why my DH needs to leave a trail of dirty socks, underpants, gadgets and crumbs wherever he goes. Favourite place for dirty socks is tucked down the side of the sofa cushions Hmm. He did clean the kitchen and sort the washing out last night though so he is in my good books.

Don't know if people who do this still believe in fairies who will come and magically clean at the back of them or just don't mind living in a pigsty. If you have to tidy I would take pictures and tell him that it is not acceptable to leave the house like this when you live with someone. I would be tempted to time how long it takes you to tidy after him and tell him the going rate for a cleaner is xxx so you will take cash or favour equivalent. As an aside, why did he tip up the sofa?!

PumpkinsMummy · 08/09/2014 10:38

LOL at everyone suggesting pics, mumsnet is of one mind!

chocolaterainbow · 08/09/2014 10:38

YANBU, selfish slob! I agree with callani, take a video or at least some photos to send him, and ask him why his last maid quit?

cherrybombxo · 08/09/2014 10:40

This is my day to day life and it doesn't matter how much I moan and shout and plead and whinge, he doesn't seem to notice that he does it. I can scrub the house top to bottom but it's like the Mess Elves come out to play when I go to bed. I get up in the morning and I can see exactly what he's eaten while I've been asleep thanks to empty wrappers, crumbs, smears of condiments and dirty knives on the kitchen worktop. When he gets ready in the morning he just steps out of his pants and leaves them wherever he happens to be, even if that's five feet from the washing basket. Used plates, empty cups, dirty socks, opened letters, bloody tissue after a nosebleed(!)... I call him Hurricane "Mr Cherrybomb" because of his trail of destruction. I wish I had some advice, I just wanted to say that I live with it too and it's horrible!

losthermind · 08/09/2014 10:41

Hes obviously gone bat shit crazy and thinks ive morphed into a Stepford wife, and why did he feel the need talc himself in the living room!!!!!!! I mopped the living room and kitchen to save me a job this morning, piss take

He managed to turn a sofa upside down while getting ready for work??? What is he - the Incredible Hulk?! Anyway, answer is - get a black bin bag, mop up bathroom floor with one of the towels, then put all towels, chargers, extension leads etc into the bag and leave it on the doorstep for him this evening (after the letting agents have been). He doesn't get fed until he has sorted out his shit and put it away.

PumpkinsMummy · 08/09/2014 10:45

Actual LOL @ the incredible hulk. Would explain the clothes too - he obviously grew into a giant green ball of rage and they all fell off.

losthermind · 08/09/2014 10:46

I am assuming he was looking for something in the sofa but he just left cushions in the talc on the floor, the sofa was stripped and washed on fridayAngry. I do not mind cleaning after people, just don't take the bastard piss out of me......ive cleaned the majority of it up now, wish I had taken pics. So now hes gonna walk through the door and get an earful and ill be the moaning hag

I cured my dh of throwing his wet towel on my side of bed by neatly lying it out on his side of bed on sheet with duvet pulled over it!
Nice surprise for him when he came to bed, well he was repeatedly warned! Grin

EatDessertFirst · 08/09/2014 10:47

I'd lay the wet towels under the duvet on his side of the bed. They lie flat so they won't be spotted on the inspection. Then do what Unexpected said with the rest of his crud.

YANBU by the way. My DP has been trained out of this. After he found 'stuff' in his side of the bed for a few days, he got the message.

TheLovelyBoots · 08/09/2014 10:48

This is bad, but count me amongst the ones relieved it's not actual poo.

Why is he up at 5.45 to leave at 7.30?

EatDessertFirst · 08/09/2014 10:48

X-post with Ovary. Its obviously a common tactic!

DuelingFanjo · 08/09/2014 10:49

leave it all there until he gets home.

DuelingFanjo · 08/09/2014 10:49

Ah - too late. Why did you clean it up?

OnlyLovers · 08/09/2014 10:49

How did he make such an extravagant mess? I'm imagining him like the Tasmanian Devil from the Bugs Bunny cartoons.

After the inspection put everything back where he left it. Re-dampen the towels if necessary. Grin

losthermind · 08/09/2014 10:50

Lol @ the hulk, I do call him the green giant, hes got a day off Friday, ill be up at the crack of dawn with every appliance goin, Id leave a mess but ID have to clean it up, mess is invisible to everyone in this house apart from me

Just come back as had an early patient and left before hubby. Wet towel on bedroom floor, his old lunch box on floor. All his socks on the bed as he was trying to find pairs (job I must do together if good afternoon move on as I'm running out), internet off (why!) and all the shoes out of the cupboard. 5 minutes later order is restored. Just part of being married. In return he does the same for me. (He's a better cleaner than me). However early morning getting to work on time all bets are off.

londonrach · 08/09/2014 10:52

Oh and my pet hate cerebral bowl on the floor full of milk. Sitting down with a lion chocolate bar and my cola (my one treat today) then I'll tackle the washing.....

losthermind · 08/09/2014 10:55

He was up at 5.45 because he "NEEDS" 30 to 45 minutes to wake up and watch the news, and because he couldn't be arse to have a shower last night he had to have it this morning, he has a 20 min shower Hmm hes just basically been a lazy bastard all weekend so left everything last minute, still cant understand why everything had to be tits up when I got up
