Neighbours have kidnapped my mooncup! (lighthearted, obviously)

Last week I came home to a Hermes delivery ticket for my new mooncup () which said that a house about 7 doors down and across the road had taken it in. I don't know them, but how kind of them to take it in.

Since then, either DH or I have popped over every day at different times (none before 10am or after 8pm) to collect it. Despite (at various times) the TV being on, lights on etc, there is no answer!

I'm pretty sure they haven't popped round either as we were home a lot over the weekend.

I'm due to come on tomorrow so I need it and I'm baffled!

AIBU to think they have clearly opened it, discovered the joy of the mooncup and intend to keep it forever?!

No replies for my missing mooncup! Maybe I'm overthinking it.

Is there something of theirs you could appropriate until a time they decide to open the door to you. Like a cat, or a gnome.

Why do people ask a question on here and wait for an answer, when they could type the same word into Google and get the result instantly?

And I bet if you were to google 'what is a mooncup' the top five links would probably be mumsnet anyway

Have googled and now I have another question- how do you rinse it out in a public loo when the sink is outside the cubicle?
Anyway, I really hope you get yours back OP. do you have a back up plan?

Have only ever heard of mooncups from here, and TBH they sound absolutely rank. Bleee!

How can a moon cup be any more rank than

a) Stuffing a wad of bleached, toxin-trapping cotton up you, where it can shed fibres, cause infections and release chemicals into the most sensitive part of your body. they can leak, pop out when you sneeze, and you still have to grab a bloody string, and hope it doesn't go swinging on the way to the toilet. They absorb water from your shower/bath/pool/lake and introduce it and any bacteria in it, into your vag. Oh, and you can get TSS! That is gross!

B)Wearing a fat smelly pad, that can shift, leak, trigger a rash or in some people, thrush!

Or, there is lovely non-smelly cups, that can be used at any flow without risk

I love my Mooncup. I only started using it after reading about them on Mumsnet and I am so glad I did. They are amazing.

i got my mooncup from boots. never thought of getting it delivered.

Yeah, I like the suggestion of kidnapping the gnome. Or just his hat. That's basically the same thing as a mooncup.

It's the fact it's re-used. Time and time again. Surely that's going to get a tad whiffy after several hundred washes

Why would it get whiffy ? you can either boil or Milton it after use if you remmeber

I use Milton, no whiff at all.

I just wash mine with hot water and soap. There is no whiff.

...and don't forget that it is loads, loads cheaper in the long run.

Maybe one of the neighbours plays a very tiny trumpet, and needed a plunger mute for it.

I heart my Mooncup, btw. I will never ever use a tampon again.

Mine is great. I leave it to sterilise for fifteen minutes while I'm in the shower every morning. Get out and it's ready to pop in. Doesn't smell. Feels less icky than a tampon.
