To just eat the fucking left overs and NOT leave a tiny spoonful left??

DH made fish sticks yesterday, put the bag back in the freezer. I thought I had enough to lunch or a snack.

Heat up the toaster oven. I have exactly 5, that's right 5 fish sticks.

He has form for this. When he takes left overs he leaves a tiny spoonful that can't possibly be a portion size so he'd not "being rude". He just won't take the last bit of anything. Except candies or biscuits. Those are fine apparently. Hmm

Anyway, now some plastic of his has melted on the toaster oven and I feel it could have been avoided if I cleared it off first he just ate the rest of the bag.

I know I'm not BU, I just needed someone to comiserate with and give me tips on how to get melted plastic off a surface.

Just realized.

I ruined his plastic sushi roller. A tool to prepare fish to eat was ruined by preparing fish to eat. Irony or karma?

Fish stick?

chockbic · 08/08/2014 03:29

Then he can say that he left you some, the greedy sly bugger.

ADHDNoodles · 08/08/2014 03:36

Yeah, you know...

Fish Sticks

They're just little breaded fish bars. UK probably invented them considering your biggest dish is breaded fish. Or maybe they're an American thing?

But... five fishsticks is a serving!

According to the packaging, a serving is 6 fishsticks. But really, that's just as silly as marking a bottle of juice as 2.5 servings.

You need more than 6 fishsticks for a meal, even on a diet. It'd be like only eating half a sandwhich (normal sandwhich, not shop kind) for your main meal.

Are these minuscule fish sticks or something? 5 sounds like plenty for a snack to me...

Obfuskate They're not. Sad

It's just processed crap, that's quick and easy so I eat while taking care of baby DD. We're on the end of the paycheck, so it's all left overs and whatever you can scrounge up until DH gets home with new food. :)

I was just hoping for something more than a pot of coffee and 5 fishsticks today.

I think yabu, sorry. I would never eat more than five for a snack! And five plus some fries or a salad is definitely a meal.

I eat half sandwiches too, two slices of bread is too much

ADHDNoodles · 08/08/2014 03:59

No, these are tiny. 6 is about 210 calories, and they're meant to be eaten with a side not as a stand alone. They aren't even brand name, they're just generic store brand value pack kind you'd get at a Tesco.

But that aside size wise they're only as big as say your ring finger. Grin

ObfusKate Fish stick sandwhiches... Sounds interesting.

I've burned water. More accurately, I forgot about the water, it evaporated and I burnt the teflon. That is a horrible, horrible smell I will never forget.

How did you set fire to a plastic spoon? I can think of a few scenarios, all interesting.

Toaster Oven

It's just a little mini oven that basically does the same thing as a real oven, but.. takes less time to heat up? Logically, it makes no sense now that I think about it. To have a mini oven right next to an oven, but there you have it.

We have little Mini Grills though.

Our broilers are just another setting on the main oven. :)
