So, I ordered something off amazon yesterday, and, it has just been delivered. Efficient? Yes, you may say so.
However, the delivery driver rocked up in a van with music absolutely blaring. I don't mean just loud - the windows were vibrating.
Now, we don't have kids, but my 2 six year old cats started to panic at the increased and somewhat unusual noise.
My lovely next door neighbour has a six month old baby, and she is really struggling at the moment getting him to sleep/settle. She and her DH are both exhausted.
Having stopped in the middle of the road (despite there being ample parking) he then left the door open - engine on and music still blaring. He approached the house (from NDN's side
) and stuck it through our letter box. He did look somewhat startled when I opened the door though.
The conversation went something like this:
Me: thank you for delivering this. However would you mind being a little more considerate and turning your music down? There are children in this area and there is no doubt that you will be disturbing them
DM: but it's morning! It's fine!
Me: yes, and it's a lovely one. But I'm sure that six month old babies don't particularly care what time of day it is.
DM: (looking a little shocked) erm, ok then.....(gets into van and turns music down - waits for yet another couple of minutes with cars backed up behind him)
Is it me or was this bloke an inconsiderate tosser?
