It's the English flag for the World Cup.

It means we support England in the world cup

i thought it was the england flag(george cross), some sort of thing they had set up, as i saw another flag next to someone's name (french maybe)

I like the way if you hover over a flag it tells you the country. Today I have learnt that what I though was the Israeli flag (are they even in the World Cup?) was in fact the flag of Honduras. Who knew, eh?
