To think that the green hula hoops should be more readily available?

It's just ridiculous that they are only accessible via multi packs with the blue and red ones, which no one likes. Why oh why can't I buy individual bags and/or multi packs of just pure, green hula hoops??

Green- cheese and onion, yes? they were always the only ones left in my house when i was young, no one likes cheese and onion!!
Salt and vinegar always popular though.
DS likes cheese and onion now, so i let him eat them all.
I thought everyone liked S&V and RS?

fairnotfair · 02/06/2014 19:06

I get them at Tesco! They're DS1's favourite. £1.75 for a pack of 7.

green hula hoops

TheHappyMonkey · 02/06/2014 19:07

Are you batshit crazy?? Cheese and onion are by far the finest hula hoop. Until you said about your son liking them I was thinking we should go halvsies on multipacks and I could have the green and you could have the red and blue. No offence to your son but darn him for scuppering my hula hoop master plan!

Wtf?! Fairnotfair that is an absolute revelation! I live about a million miles from a tescos tho, I wonder if I could start doing online shopping with them.

Do you live near a home bargains? They have them in sometimes.

fairnotfair · 02/06/2014 19:13

For real cheese & onion shame, this is what DS2 likes:

taking cheese & onion that step too far

Green Squares.... Now they're heaven!

TheHappyMonkey · 02/06/2014 19:16

Nope, no home bargains. My shopping opportunities are very much limited to sainsburys, waitrose or morrissons :( and none of them do solo cheese and onion hula hoops. Even the co op and the local newsagents don't do individual bags, but they do red and blue one. It's like a conspiracy.

Fairnotfair, that really is taking things a bit far. There's a line, and I think you just crossed it.

YABVVU!

Everyone knows the beef ones are best, that's why they get their own packet in far more places!

TheHappyMonkey · 02/06/2014 19:22

Urgh dear oh dear, I hadn't even mentioned the brown ones, i thought it was blindingly obvious that they are just the most disgusting flavoured potato snack on the market, I thought went without saying! How they came to be so prolific is beyond me.

OP posts:
Lulu1083 · 02/06/2014 19:25

happy because they are the perfect hangover cure Grin

TheHappyMonkey · 02/06/2014 19:28

Seriously? That is whack. I can't think of anything I'd enjoy less with a hangover, apart from maybe a poo pie with snot chutney.

TheHouseatWhoCorner · 02/06/2014 19:29

Didn't there used to be orange ones? Or have I imagined that?

fairnotfair · 02/06/2014 19:31

Any flavour other than Ready Salted is wrong IMHO.

Melfish · 02/06/2014 19:33

I think the orange ones were chicken flavour, mmmm.

TheHappyMonkey · 02/06/2014 19:34

According to Wikipedia orange were roast chicken. Never tried them.
Ready salted are just about passable if there is literally no other snack on offer.

YABVVVU.Cheese and onion are the discarded bags found lurking in the back of the cupboard. They are only eaten in PMT crazed greediness when all else has been scoffed.

TheHappyMonkey · 02/06/2014 19:40

Send them to me! They are the most sought after, most longed for of all the snacks!
We should have a MN swap shop for hula hoops :) I have loads of manky brown ones that Lulu can have

I miss the Big O's - the beef and mustard flavour ones were delicious...Sad

hugoagogo · 02/06/2014 20:26

What about sour cream and chive? Yum Smile

TinyPawz · 02/06/2014 20:29

Beef hula hoops are the best. You all are crazy.
