To think that the green hula hoops should be more readily available?

It's just ridiculous that they are only accessible via multi packs with the blue and red ones, which no one likes. Why oh why can't I buy individual bags and/or multi packs of just pure, green hula hoops??

The 99p shop have them, have seen the sour cream ones but I'm not at all sure about them.
Beefy ones are the best!

TheHappyMonkey · 02/06/2014 21:09

Ooooh.....ooohhhh...48 packets for less than a pound a bag! That is EXTREMELY tempting! Part of me is thinking "no monkey you are going on holiday soon and you are approximately six stone overweight, you need to be dieting" and part of me is thinking "order! Order them now!"

Pound Stretcher is great for minority crisps - including the mighty FRISP. I'm with you on C&O hoops, but for reconstituted potato snacks is has to go Frisps - Hulas - Discos in that order. Also, beef flavour anything is an abomination as any fule no.

Yellow hulls hoops are the Most superior of them all

Canthisonebeused · 02/06/2014 21:35

this is why mums go to Iceland

SpagBolgs · 02/06/2014 21:36

I don't see why this has to be put in AIBU, I have seen the green hula hoops in most supermarkets and you can also get them at Costco.

Eminybob · 02/06/2014 21:38

Salt and vinegar hula hoops are the food of gods. The green ones are horrible

I like to push hula hoops through cheese so you get a cheesy centre inside the hoop. Especially baby bell.
This may not be normal?

Straitjacket · 02/06/2014 21:46

Sorry, but you are definitely being unreasonable!

The kids get left the cheese and onion ones, after I have scoffed the beef and salt and vinegar!

I don't actually like cheese, at all, though. So maybe I am weird...I keep being told I am anyway Hmm

catsofa · 02/06/2014 21:48

The brown ones are Dog Food flavour. FACT.

TheHappyMonkey · 02/06/2014 22:24

Strait I don't like cheese either! But I make exceptions for crisps and also cake.

Canthis, that link has really confused me...they have the hula hoop logo, but they look different...what strange parellel world is this? Unfortunately I dont have an Iceland near me either.

SpagBolgs - in my local supermarkets none of them sell green ones individually, I can only have them if I also buy 5 other packets of crisps in flavours that I don't like. Hence the AIBU to want easier access to green hula hoops. Justsquirted has offered a very helpful solution to this dilemma, it just involves buying them (and then undoubtedly eating them) in enormous quantities. If this is not an issue for you where you live you may consider that IABU but you should also consider yourself very, very lucky.

TheHappyMonkey I believe that link is to a bake-able potato snack made by Hula Hoops...not that I'm going to be finding my nearest Iceland or anything...!

TheHappyMonkey · 02/06/2014 23:45

Fucking Nora DoJo, you're right! Oh how I wished I lived somewhere near an Iceland, now I understand the concept they have become the dream!

Beef hula hoops are ace.

Just want to mention the recent reintroduction of that 80's pototo based pack up staple - cheese and onion ringos. Pure filth - I can't seem to stop eating them.

Canthisonebeused · 03/06/2014 00:34

Thehappymonkey they are frozen bakable hoops

RabbitPies · 03/06/2014 00:37

You can get 48 packs for £23 + postage here on Amazon, and may get them even cheaper from other Amazonbsellers.

catsofa · 03/06/2014 01:06

It's all over for me, I've just seen that Tesco have chipsticks. I like to suck them.

ToffeeMoon · 03/06/2014 01:13

Love the brown ones!!!!!

Ooh, I remember the orange ones!

ToffeeMoon · 03/06/2014 01:14

Ringos are back?????

Theodorous · 03/06/2014 07:38

It's weird, in Qatar they sell green hula hoops in the petrol station for about 20p a pack. Rarely see brown or red but blue also available. They are truly global!

CarmineRose1978 · 03/06/2014 17:37

I'm with Carpe... Cheese and onion squares are the best. So strong they almost burn your tongue. I once bought a box from Makro and gorged myself over a couple of weeks. Yummy.

Theodorous · 03/06/2014 18:40

Squares are indeed the royalty of crisps and no hangover should be complete without them. Blue for a really bad one, red as a middle and green for the returning to normal food stage.

CarmineRose1978 · 03/06/2014 18:42

Further... Cheese and onion crisps should be eaten with cheese and ham sandwiches. Ready salted for beef or chicken, salt and vinegar for ham on its own. Crisp butties yes yes.

TheHappyMonkey · 03/06/2014 20:45

Noooo, cheese and onion crisps should be eaten with dairy milk. Always. Although if they are going to be eaten with a sandwich it should be prawn.

Has anyone else tried the cheese and onion flavoured chocolate? I'm quite a big fan.

Crisps (cheese and onion or ready salted) should be eaten with a banana. The combination of sweet banana and salty crisps is perfect.

catsofa · 04/06/2014 21:02

CarmineRose which wine should accompany those dishes?
