To think Sarah and Jareth belong together

You know, when Sarah is a little bit older that is. I wish they made a movie sequel where Sarah goes back in several years time and becomes Jareth's other half.

True fans will know what I'm talking about, right? Grin

Oh I get like this. I was so peeved when he turned into an owl.

Yes, he learns the error of his ways becomes a good goblin king and then asks her out on a date without kidnapping any siblings. That would make me nappy.

fifi669 · 01/06/2014 22:06

The chemistry was there..... I swear it was!

Did anyone else have an obsession with his bulge?

To think Sarah and Jareth belong together
tallulah · 01/06/2014 22:07

Age gap is far too big and she is far too whiney for him.

fifi669 · 01/06/2014 22:09

Me and my sisters each bought a copy..... On DVD.... As adults.... Despite living in the same house :)

I may also have the soundtrack

HoneyDragon · 01/06/2014 22:10

Actually I better result would be he came round mine.

I'd appreciate his shiny balls.

CharlesRyder · 01/06/2014 22:10

This film forms an integral part of DH and my vocabulary.

Think (in Sainsbury's):

'It's down there'
'She chose dowwwn'

Can't wait to show it to DS when I'm sure he won't be shit scared.

OhFFSWhatsWrongNow · 01/06/2014 22:18

They would make an epic couple Grin he must be lonely in that big castle with those annoying bloody goblins.

needs to get a life

fifi Omg YES, the breeches were to die for!

This film regularly enters my life, as DH seems to make a mission out of always tossing DS2 as high in the air as he possibly can. I love it Smile

fifi669 · 01/06/2014 23:10

I may have held DS in the air and said goblin king, goblin king..... I never finish though.... Just incase :)

HairyWorm · 01/06/2014 23:11

Yes yes yes!!

Fram · 01/06/2014 23:20

She's about 14, and he is.... how old is a goblin king?

I am so pleased my children like this film! Grin

TheWanderingUterus · 01/06/2014 23:24

Yes please to a sequel. Maybe to a relationship between the two,, I can sort of see it and I also can't see it at all.

I read this blogpost about Labyrinth on a friend's Twitter and it made so much sense , filling in the back story.

PuzzleRocks · 01/06/2014 23:32

Um Fifi, you could safely finish because, well "that's not it, it doesn't even start with I wish".

jaynebxl · 01/06/2014 23:34

If they want to make a sequel they'd better get a wiggle on cos David Bowie isn't getting any younger.

trixymalixy · 01/06/2014 23:34

Love this film. Must watch it again!

puntasticusername · 02/06/2014 00:14

David Bowie is as damn fine today as he ever was, and if anyone wants to say otherwise, I hereby invite them Outside.

No? Good. Thought not.

AndyYorkeSingsBetterThanThom · 02/06/2014 00:33

Sarah? Forget it. He's mine.

dontevenblink · 02/06/2014 00:43

This film really scared me when I was little in the 80s. My sister and I have always found David Bowie a little bit freaky since...

Great film though, looking forward to showing my dc it and creeping them out too Grin (dc1 is 6 now - too young?)

ravenAK · 02/06/2014 00:44

My friend Hazel & I arm-wrestled for Jareth in 1986.

I won, so unless any of you are Hazel fancying best of three, he's chuffing well spoken for. Shiny balls, improbable breeks, frightwig & all.

flyingspaghettimonster · 02/06/2014 00:50

My first crush. Had no idea he was David Bowie though... Think I was 8.

puntasticusername · 02/06/2014 01:03

Gah, ok Raven you sound slightly scary - he's yours! As long as I can have Keanu Reeves instead. From the Much Ado About Nothing 1993 leather trousers era, of course.

AmberSweet · 02/06/2014 01:05

I love this thread Grin

It's really surprising how many people have need seen it! (coughDPcough). Now I feel the need to dig out my DVD and show Ds for the first time!

FuckTheMagicDragon · 02/06/2014 01:15

God I loved David Bowie in that film. Fit as fuck, looks like he'd be filthy (in a good way mind) in bed :)

BEEwitched · 02/06/2014 05:19

You've just made me turn on the DVD (which was still in the player)!

AnotherSpinningFuckingRainbow · 02/06/2014 05:25

That back story, TheWandering! Brrrr!
