Not exactly an aibu thread but following on from the which high street shops are likely to go next, it got me wondering which good clothes shops there are for women these days?

Im 30 and haven't really had much to spend on clothes lately apart from the odd thing from Next so ive made do. I popped into town the other day though and just didn't really know where to look to buy some new clobber! Where does one go for nice tops and dresses these days?

Lesleythegiraffe · 23/05/2014 19:01

Virtually everything in my wardrobe comes from Next as I know I can buy stuff from there without even bothering to try it on.

Knickers and bras from M and S.

Joysmum · 23/05/2014 19:01

M&S, peacocks and George. I'm not into fashion.

PrincessOfChina · 23/05/2014 19:02

Oasis. Almost exclusively.

dexter73 · 23/05/2014 19:02

I like Gap, Fat Face and Uniqlo.

KingJoffreysBloodshotEye · 23/05/2014 19:03

Boden or Nomads for dresses and skirts.

George at ASDA for underwear and pajamas. Buy most of DS's stuff from there too.

Monsoon/Accessorize for socks.

New Look/Next for plain t-shirts and vests.

Dr Martens/Vans for footwear.

KingJoffreysBloodshotEye · 23/05/2014 19:04

DP buys a fair bit from Burtons.

Work shirts from George at ASDA.

YellowTulips · 23/05/2014 19:04

Jigsaw, Hobbs and M&S.

fatlazymummy · 23/05/2014 19:06

Tesco, asdas and peacocks. When I was younger I used to like new look and river island.

casparthecat · 23/05/2014 19:21

Charity shop Queen here!

I wear White Stuff, Fat Face, Hobbs, Monsoon, M&S, H&M, Precis Petite, Wallis, Country Casuals, Jaegar, Alexon, Next.

I also shop at ALDI and LIDL. I have successfully managed to convince everyone at work I am a John Lewis/Waitrose girl. DH thinks it is very funny.

SparklySprout · 23/05/2014 19:22

Desigual and Nomads.

Can you tell that I like rich colours and lots of pattern? Smile

parentalunit · 23/05/2014 19:22

Jigsaw stuff is lovely. They have good sales. All their stuff coordinates together (within reason!) so it's easy to put together an outfit without having to think too much.

MaidOfStars · 23/05/2014 19:24

I am on an All Saints thing at the moment.

ThatBloodyWoman · 23/05/2014 19:24

I quite honestly hardly ever go into real clothes shops and I am Shock when I see the prices.

It's charity shops, jumble sales and e bay for me !

gordyslovesheep · 23/05/2014 19:25

all of them Grin

but at the moment I am liking M+S, Next, Warehouse, Zara and Dotty P

meganorks · 23/05/2014 19:31

I buy most things from oasis or warehouse. Mid 30s

numptieseverywhere · 23/05/2014 19:34

Next, French connection, the odd supermarket top from sainsburys, warehouse (but feel a bit old for warehouse these days, I'm 41. Am I too old for warehouse?)

NCFTTB · 23/05/2014 19:37

I'm almost exclusively Oasis too.

PinkSquash · 23/05/2014 19:39

New Look, dorothy perkins and Primark. Always one step behind fashion sadly.

icanmakeyouicecream · 23/05/2014 19:41

I buy a lot from Next. It fits me like a glove and I really like all their stuff. I also like M&S.
