Not exactly an aibu thread but following on from the which high street shops are likely to go next, it got me wondering which good clothes shops there are for women these days?

Im 30 and haven't really had much to spend on clothes lately apart from the odd thing from Next so ive made do. I popped into town the other day though and just didn't really know where to look to buy some new clobber! Where does one go for nice tops and dresses these days?

I like Reiss when I have a lot of money which is rare. I also like warehouse, topshop, next and fatface. Fatface is great quality.

I'm very Envy of all those that can find well fitting clothes and don't need to try anything on.

I'm a tall curvy size 12 to 14 and it seems that nothing fits well especially jeans and trousers as my waist is about 2 sizes smaller than my hips.

White Stuff, Topshop, Next, h & M for tops, m & s and Dorothy Perkins :) I also like fat face, jigsaw and Hobbs but the closet one is birmingham so dint go much.

I seem to buy a lot from Dorothy Perkins at the moment - they sell lots of high waisted skinny jeans, which have become my 'uniform' Blush. I have just had a delivery from Gap and I like almost all of it, and a delivery from Boden which will all be going back bar one item. I like Boden on the screen but it always looks really frumpy on me and I end up returning it. Really love Banana Republic in the winter but the summer stuff isn't me this year. Occasional Mint Velvet also. DH buys almost exclusively from Jaeger.

Same trouble here OMBT, that's what also puts me off shopping cos half the time I come back pissed off and disappointed that I can't find anything decent

I'd say 90% of my stuff is Oasis.

But do Boden and Crew Clothing too when I get a discount email.

I'm 37

oohdaddypig · 23/05/2014 20:43

H and M. I love that shop ATM

Haven't been in oasis for years. Might be too classy for me Hmm

Pick up leggings and the odd top in sainsburies.

KneesoftheBee · 23/05/2014 20:45

Fat face & Mantaray for cotton tunics & dresses.
Phase 8 & Monsoon for dressy up stuff.
Tesco, Next, M & S for basics / work clothes.

Brandswise- Zara (& Stradivarius, Bershka etc), American Apparel, Esprit, Urban Outfitters, Warehouse, FCUK.....

I shop a lot on ebay and in the sales, and I love clothes so buy a lot! Don't have an enormous amount of money to spend. Bulk of wardrobe is from AA and Zara though....such a gullible devoted customer Grin

Ooh. Lots of new places to look for clothes. Hush looks great.

MrsWedgeAntilles · 23/05/2014 20:56

Charity shops, vintage places, Ebay now and again. Love a bargain, have picked some really nice designer stuff for almost nothing at all.

Bras from Bravissimo, pants from Primark, shoes of the best quality I can afford at the time

I make some of my clothes as well.
