Haha. We're not married but we've been going out for two years. I know he's nuts but this is a new one. The moon landing was real though, we're okay on that one.

I've seen some extraordinary and seemimgly highly intelligent people fall for the 9/11 conspiracy theories.

On the other hand, I haven't talked to them since I found out.

One of the conspiracy theories over the 9\11 was that no planes ever went into the twin towers somebody I know very well posted this on fb if no planes went into the twin towers and it was all a conspiracy how on earth do they explain people who live in new York personal accounts of that day or the fact that the twin towers don't exist anymore???

And why does he think they that desperately wanted to go to war?

I never understand how on earth people believe that all the hundreds of people required to make a 'conspiracy' like 9/11 or the moon landings have kept quiet for so long and no actual proof has come out. I mean, our government ministers can't even keep their speech notes covered up when walking out of their office.

Everyone who knows where to look and who to ask knows that NASA landed all right, but they landed on Mars.

They will tell you that a trip to Mars would take months and months, not five days, and that radio messages would take twenty-odd minutes, not a second and a half. According to the textbooks that’s right. But NASA had developed a system of instant travel through hyperspace so that once they got into earth orbit they could get into Mars orbit instantaneously and then just land. As for voice messages they had to fake the delay.

I have an expectation of a certain level of rational thinking (old age / illness notwithstanding). Does it affect you greatly? Is he down the pub, loudly sharing conspiracy theories with colleagues or is it a bit more discreet?

He wont eat spaghetti. Carbs are bad and cause diabetes and sugar causes heart attacks. Obviously. He reads a lot of crap about food so I'm used to hearing that, annoys the hell out of me TBQFH.
