and not me? He's not a closet tory, do they just not expect any women to vote for them?

Does he wear red or pink velveteen trousers? Wink

AlexReidsLonelyBraincell · 06/05/2014 16:33

Same in our house too. DH is adamant that he's not a secret Tory, I am threatening him with a lie detector Jezza Kyle style. Wink

Obviously they are targeting the menz of the house, knowing the little laydee will vote for whomever her hubsy jolly well tells her to.

Canus · 06/05/2014 16:34

Ha, how weird, the other day I was wondering why I'd received one and my husband hadn't Grin

My voting is a bit random anyway.

Maybe it's a cost cutting thing, my name comes before his in the alphabet.

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 06/05/2014 16:34

LTB

itsatiggerday · 06/05/2014 16:35

You might yet get lucky. DH's lib dem one arrived about a week before I enjoyed the privilege.

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 06/05/2014 16:35

UKIP sent me a flyer and not DH Confused Shock Angry

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 06/05/2014 16:36

My DH did too, and a UKIP one, both addressed to him personally. He was most affronted. I thought it was hilarious (Dh is red-to-the-end socialist)

I can't find it in myself to be insulted by them failing to try and attract my vote.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 06/05/2014 16:36

Hmm. Me and partner both got one - are you both def on the electoral roll?

Prettykitty111 · 06/05/2014 16:36

I received one. I'm female... DP didn't get one in our house but then no one is under any illusions as to who he is voting for!

SlimJiminy · 06/05/2014 16:36

We got one each.

Sparrowlegs248 · 06/05/2014 16:37

I got one but DH didn't.

MinesAPintOfTea · 06/05/2014 16:37

They've slipped up there then, DH has nominated me as his proxy*.

No velveteen trousers in this house either.

  • I actually won't misuse this. Unless he has a complete personality change and decides he wants to vote Tory and its not to block UKIP/BNP
OP posts:
SweetPenelope · 06/05/2014 16:37

We also got one each.

SlimJiminy · 06/05/2014 16:37

We both got UKIP ones too.

MinesAPintOfTea · 06/05/2014 16:39

Definitely on the electoral roll, we both got our polling cards on the same day.

Not insulted either, it just amused me.

And we finally have some women who got one when the man of the house didn't. Maybe they aren't assuming women just do as their husband does.

JeggingsHateMe · 06/05/2014 17:02

There may have been a time difference in you / him both being on the electoral roll at the same time for only one of you to receive one.

My DH has had them all through the door now, the Tory one arrived today. I am on the electoral roll but the new, updated roll was recently released to agencies /local gov and there was a delay in change of details that I had to make, so I have not received any propaganda literature here but I've checked and I am eligible to vote (received polling card for 22nd) it's just that I missed showing up on the updated roll when they were sticking labels on these flyers!

JeggingsHateMe · 06/05/2014 17:04

None of the flyers this year have been addressed to me (because of above post) only DH. It's the only time he gets post I think!

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 06/05/2014 17:06

I got a UKIP one, thankfully theBNp haven't sent me one yet.

pollylovespie · 06/05/2014 17:07

DH and I both got one today. Made sure I shredded them before putting them in the paper bin.

Raxacoricofallapatorius · 06/05/2014 17:11

DH got one today too. Glad they aren't begging for my vote, as they would be wasting their fetid breath.

I've chopped Cameron's gurning face up, along with Farage's and I've posted them freepost back to UKIP's head office.

HauntedNoddyCar · 06/05/2014 17:14

We both got one today. My dad has got one but not my mum.

Now I know that I've never voted for them in nigh on 30 years of voting but I know my dad did once.

TheLastNameLeft · 06/05/2014 17:15

I got one today aswell, have never voted for them in my life

TweedleDi · 06/05/2014 17:17

My DH and adult son got one. Nadda for me...

larry5 · 06/05/2014 17:18

My dd has had UKIP, LibDem and Conservative party leaflets but Dh and I have had nothing. I assume it is down to her initial which is earlier in the alphabet that either of us.

OnlyLovers · 06/05/2014 17:19

I haven't had ANY, from ANY party. None of them want me.

Fair enough really. The way I feel at the moment, I don't want any of them either ...
