got the son round with his wife and 2 little ones. I had planned to do a full roast but my cooker is on the blink and everything is cremated and i dont have enough to start again! The DIL is sitting on her arse with a face like a smacked bum huffing and puffing about normally having a full Roast on Easter Sunday, all she has done is sit there and stuff her face with easter eggs.

As a last ditch attempt, I found some stew in the freezer which i can do with roast potatoes but she is grizzling about that now.

I wouldnt mind but there are here at least once a week and she always insists on a full roast with all the trimmings, never washes up and never suggests contributing

oh well, i have started on the cooking wine so all will be well soon hic!

Ooh thread about a thread tut tut naughty spider!

deemented · 20/04/2014 18:08

Takeaway!

Or tell her to get off her arse and help you do something?

Latara · 20/04/2014 18:09

She sounds like a right nightmare. Cook the stew for yourself and continue with the cooking wine.

Gileswithachainsaw · 20/04/2014 18:09

:o

Shouldn't you be "hosting" rather than posting on MN? What kind of MIL are you the world revolves around grand kids don't you know :o

deemented · 20/04/2014 18:09

I read the other thread, but didn't comment. Grin

Marking place to watch how this one develops. Wink

Latara · 20/04/2014 18:25

Maybe I should comment on the other thread... ''OP, you sound like a right nightmare'' Grin

TruJay · 20/04/2014 18:26

Haha i was almost duped then! Thought no way, didn't i just read...oh its a joke!! I'm not usually so gullible! Is baby brain still an excuse when dd is 5 months Blush

Gen35 · 20/04/2014 18:28

I don't very often feel sorry for a MILbut in this case I suspect a poor frazzled lady who contemplated trying to climb out her kitchen window in desperation today, I can just imagine messing Easter dinner up like this!

ShutTheFuckUpBarbara · 20/04/2014 18:28

:o

Love it!

GreatSoprendo · 20/04/2014 18:29
Grin Spit in her stew. That'll learn her.

Only saw the title of the other thread but off to read it now.

HarrietSchulenberg · 20/04/2014 18:31

I think you're being very lazy. At the very least I would have given her a cheese sandwich about 5 hours ago Grin.

Latara · 20/04/2014 18:32

Right I did comment on the other thread exactly what I said on here. I expect I will get a flaming but I don't care, some people are really spoilt, I don't get anyone cooking for me so maybe I'm just jealous.

Caitlin17 · 20/04/2014 18:46

Good thread!

squoosh · 20/04/2014 18:56

Seeing as they drove for 5 hours to get there you could have done a bit better than grotty old stew.

Make 'must try harder' your mantra, there's a poppet.

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 20/04/2014 19:09

Hehe.
I often wonder what the other side would have to say...

Fairenuff · 20/04/2014 19:11

Are they staying overnight? If not, they had best get going or they won't be home 'til midnight.

WhoAteAllTheCremeEggs · 20/04/2014 19:15

Your out of order do the kids even eat things that are saucy?
