To ask for my money back?

Had eyebrows threaded yesterday. Looked closely this morning & there is a 0.5cm gap of bare skin on my right brow then 1 single hair at the end.
I am furious.

You didn't notice at the time? Can't be that obvious then!

ACatCalledColin · 18/04/2014 10:20

If you must.

Marrow · 18/04/2014 10:22

You had them done yesterday but only noticed today? It can't be that noticeable then! The time to say was yesterday immediately after they had been done.

ThatBloodyWoman · 18/04/2014 10:22

I have a tiny baldy patch in my eyebrows.
Might that be the case for you, and you don't normally notice it because you pluck a different shape?

ThefutureMrsTatum · 18/04/2014 10:23

First world problem much?...

WooWooOwl · 18/04/2014 10:23

I don't think you are entitled to your money back, but you would be entitled to go and ask them to pluck the single hair that was left for you.

Or, you could just pluck the remaining hair yourself.

ThePrisonerOfAzkaban · 18/04/2014 10:27

Just pluck it yourself

TittyMcFartyFlaps · 18/04/2014 10:28

Call 999 and 101 and NHS direct.

Coffeethrowtrampbitch · 18/04/2014 10:29

I've just had brain surgery and have a two inch scar running the length of my eyebrow.

Small children shoot me suspicious looks in the street.

Don't worry, no one will notice if it has taken you a close examination in the mirror to see it Smile

londonrach · 18/04/2014 10:32

I'm not going to comment of this silly Aibu.

lollerskates · 18/04/2014 10:32

I'm sure it's not too noticeable. You probably look fine!

Are you really furious?

gamerchick · 18/04/2014 10:33

You measured?

PasswordProtected · 18/04/2014 10:34

I wear glasses and there was only a big mirror. My eyes were watering from hay fever & 12 hours in front of a pc screen.
Money back is the least of it.

OP posts:
lollerskates · 18/04/2014 10:37

The thing is though, if they did cock it up, there's nothing they can actually do about it, is there? You just have to wait for it to grow back. I burnt part of my eyebrow off about 6 weeks ago and it looks fine now. You just have to wait. If you wear glasses at least they'll cover it up a bit, maybe?

If getting your money back is "the least of it," what's the rest of it?

PasswordProtected · 18/04/2014 10:37

I am not in the UK.
If I pluck the remaining hair I will look lopsided.
I live alone so nobidy will see me until Tuesday.
Thanks for all the helpful comments, clearly my fault for wanting to look smart and well-groomed at 55 and not be a fat, flabby housewife.

OP posts:
lollerskates · 18/04/2014 10:39

It's not your fault, don't be silly! If you have until Tuesday, could you experiment with an eyebrow pencil so see if you can disguise the gap a bit? Honestly though I bet no one would notice if you didn't point it out to them.

Threading one's eyebrows typically does not affect one's weight or muscle tone, by the way.

ThefutureMrsTatum · 18/04/2014 10:42

Having groomed eyebrows is not going to stop you looking fat and flabby.

One single hair is not going to make any difference, just pluck it out.

ThefutureMrsTatum · 18/04/2014 10:45

Have they threaded your knuckles too?

TinyPawz · 18/04/2014 10:45
BobPatandIgglePiggle · 18/04/2014 10:46

Wow - have you discovered a diet secret? Plucked eyebrows = flab fight?? You should trademark that quickly.

Fairenuff · 18/04/2014 10:46

If I pluck the remaining hair I will look lopsided

So leave it and look... rightsided, straightsided, what's the word - balanced?

Fairenuff · 18/04/2014 10:47

Oh, just had a thought, you need to post a picture before we can really judge decide.

RedRoom · 18/04/2014 10:49

Am I understanding this right- you are furious because they have left a single stray hair? Or have they threaded a 0.5cm bald patch out of your brow? The latter is bad and I'd ask for my money back too, but if it's the one stray hair then you are being ridiculous. Just pull the thing out and move on.
