To ask for my money back?

Had eyebrows threaded yesterday. Looked closely this morning & there is a 0.5cm gap of bare skin on my right brow then 1 single hair at the end.
I am furious.

Here is the after threading pic.

It's not that bad.

My eyebrows are different lengths. Lots of people's are. And as you get older, you naturally start to get small bald patches, and maybe the threading's exposed one. The flattering effect of good brows is not that they're perfectly symmetrical but that they're neatly shaped and even. If the shortness really bothers you, get an eyebrow pencil (Soap & Glory is good) and fill it in.

How can you be a housewife if you live alone?

chocolatesaltyballs · 18/04/2014 11:53

pinky I think the OP is using 'fat, flabby housewife' as an insult to people on the thread who don't agree with her. [I'm happy to stand corrected.]

Meh, I'm a fat, flabby student. But I have fabulously threaded eyebrows.

Fairenuff · 18/04/2014 13:46

Maybe wonky eyebrows detract from the flabby fat. They could give a flattering, slimming impression by directing the eye to the face area?

ThatBloodyWoman · 18/04/2014 14:00

Are you always this obnoxious op?

If you've got a bad attitude, no amount of grooming will sort it.

Hth.

dorathedestroyer · 18/04/2014 14:04

I didn't read that housewife comment like that at all. OP, is it that you feel like a fat, flabby housewife and the eyebrow threading was the first step in feeling better about yourself? In which case, honestly, a little gap in your brows really isn't so noticeable. The girl who threads mine occasionally leaves a stray brow at the end, maybe to give me a balancing point to 'fill' up to, if I wanted to make them even.

NurseyWursey · 18/04/2014 14:06

Fat flabby housewife? Oh do fuck off.

MrsCakesPremonition · 18/04/2014 14:14

I don't believe that a single, solitary hair is enough to balance a gap. Either people notice that one eyebrow is 5mm shorter than the other, or they don't. The stray hair will have no impact at all on the way your brows look.

ImaginaryPoster · 18/04/2014 14:23

Erm, is it essential to thread my eyebrows to avoid the fat flabby housewife look or can I just pluck them?

somewheresomehow · 18/04/2014 14:25

you must be on about me then (aka fat flabby housewife)
as the saying goes oh do fuck off and find a real problem

MinnyMouse · 18/04/2014 14:58

Sorry OP for your strife

Thank you MNers for a right proper belly laugh out loud at all your replies

Mumsnet never fails to entertain me Smile

WilsonFrickett · 18/04/2014 15:01

Mine are too far apart, thanks to genetics and some over-exuberant plucking in my yoof. Get an eyebrow pencil. No-one will notice. It's fine.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 18/04/2014 15:02

Oh dear OP, are you having a bad day?

Nowitscleanugobshite · 18/04/2014 15:06

I'm in awe of you for being able to stand the pain of having any part of your eyebrow threaded-let alone have part of it "removed"! I had it done once. Never ever again. I thought I was going to throw up! It was worse than childbirth!!!
