YANBU. Record and report.

CuttingOutTheCrap · 07/03/2014 22:02

of course you don't deserve it. Have you reported to your head? have they taken any action?

Oakmaiden · 07/03/2014 22:05

Goodness me - threats from who?

I would consider reporting to the police...

superstarheartbreaker · 07/03/2014 22:06

Oh I have.. and this is why I am no longer interested. Apparently if a child is abusive towards you then it id because you are crap as a human being . Ok...I am not the best at crowd control but neither do I want abuse. I am a high flier in my subject area but this is not enough. Young people need more...er...entertainment?

OP posts:
Lucylouby · 07/03/2014 22:08

No, you don't deserve abuse and definitely don't deserve death threats. But the children in your classes don't deserve a bad teacher. You may be good at your subject, but if you can't control the students should you be standing at the front of the class.

Oakmaiden · 07/03/2014 22:08

Have you been teaching long? Could you consider a post in a different school?

superstarheartbreaker · 07/03/2014 22:08

Oh yes. Have reported. It is evidence about how i am a shit teacher. :-( my predecesor was bullied out. Now I know why.

maddening · 07/03/2014 22:09

go into a-level or university lecturing?

Onesleeptillwembley · 07/03/2014 22:09

Exactly what lucylouby said.

superstarheartbreaker · 07/03/2014 22:13

I am not good at controlling kids whilo make death threats. I have got great grades from those who do not.... my line manager is not intetested because they are a 'bit chatty ' never mind the fact that I have gpt top grades from.them before dhe hadeven started marking. Silence in class= not always good. Level 7+ = great for year 8. Boss = not interested.

superstarheartbreaker · 07/03/2014 22:15

Sorry typos. My students so far have got very good grades despite everything so doing something right.

hiddenhome · 07/03/2014 22:16

You're not a shit teacher. Times have changed and a great many kids are entitled little shits these days. Look how they treat each other. It's like fucking Lord of The Flies.

What type of school are you teaching in?

maddening · 07/03/2014 22:16

ps it shouldn't happen, your school should support and protect you and you should be able to do the job of teaching. I don't know how you can fix it though so imo I would just move on and if the situation is like that in most schools then I would teach at a higher level only where you have students that want to learn not ones that you seem to be there just to contain until they go home.

It's not right for you and it's not right for the students that want to learn and the pupils acting in this way need to be supported too as there must be something wrong to behave like that in a class or anywhere.

why is it that the law doesn't apply in schools - if anyone was abused this way or as in bullying situations anywhere else it simply wouldn't't be accepted - why any different when the setting is in a school? How are schools meant to approach these situations as per whatever regulations cover schools - surely there should be protocols followed and that should be standard or minimum expectations in dealing with these cases.

hiddenhome · 07/03/2014 22:17

You shouldn't be posting this in AIBU. You'll get people having a go at you just because it's in this crappy section Sad

superstarheartbreaker · 07/03/2014 22:19

I got in as my lesson plan was miles better than everone else. Once in, management want me to do complete silence exam questions for 8 weeks. No wonder they are bored and kicking off.. My hands are tied.

hiddenhome · 07/03/2014 22:22

There's too much emphasis on results these days. Dh does fencing with some secondary school teachers and two of them are on the edge and some of their colleagues are too Sad

It's a tough profession that's for sure.

Couldn't you rethink you career and move into higher/further education or something?

Some teenagers are absolute twats.i went to school with a few of them not so long ago and it was like a sport - who can make the teacher lose control first. I wouldn't be a teacher for love nor money.

superstarheartbreaker · 07/03/2014 22:23

Of course...our parents are paying xxccc . Our students say xxxxx I say bollocksxxxcccc. Ive had more cheek Iin the private sector than the state sector and I aay that ad an ex private school twat.

No job is worth sacrificing your mental health for. Ever...

hiddenhome · 07/03/2014 22:24

Couldn't you move back into the public sector? Your school sounds like a tough place. You'll end up having a breakdown if you continue like this.

superstarheartbreaker · 07/03/2014 22:26

Im givinh up completely! Hurrah! Ish.
