We're coming to IOW in May on hols and the hotel is in Ryde. Trying to persuade DH to go "sightseeing" :)

If the car isn't gone by now, please don't be available tonight & tell the landlord it'll be 6am on Saturday morning only (assuming you have little ones who get you up that early!)

Oh dear well that was fun, the last car is gone bin lady came round at 6pm banged on the door. DH went to sort her out and came back furious.

She was really rude and nasty basically saying 'who do we think we are'
and 'people like you think you own the Island' and other nasty things.

So it wasn't very nice

Not the Island - just the specific tiny bit of the Island she wants to park her car on...!!!!!!!!!!!!

And if only your OH had replied "I think we're the people that own that land. Now shift"

Zombie thinks that you should contact the LA first thing tomorrow to let them know that the last car is gone, thank them for their help and report the latest verbal abuse.

Wow! She's one very entitled person, isn't she. I would certainly want to complain about her. How nasty.

DH is not normally a wuss but he was not going to upset her incase she has a go at me so he said ( so he told me) look its my property and I want to use it for my family.

Initially I had a bit of sympathy with the tenants being duped by their LL and paying rental that included parking they weren't ever entitled to, but that evaporated right away with the attitude this woman gives out. She really doesn't endear herself does she.

I'd be tempted to rent out parking spaces to every one of the neighbours except rude Bin Lady. What a bitch.

Have you thought of getting one of those security cameras that when activated, records a few moments of video? I hope there's no need, but it might be a deterrent.
