JustforMe · 17/02/2014 09:28

Thanks for the Brew and Cake I needed that Grin

hamptoncourt · 17/02/2014 09:30

I don't think I am actually going to go to work today..............

Ellellie · 17/02/2014 09:32

Been reading the threads since the start and am delurking to say Bravo op!

BubbyBum · 17/02/2014 09:38

I am a chronic lurker, but I've just had to post and say that I love this thread, and I think I love you, your dh, and your bil because you're all full of awesomeness.

onedev · 17/02/2014 09:43

Yeah for the update! I wouldn't move anything until next weekend give her attitude!

DorothyBastard · 17/02/2014 09:45

I'm jonesing for another update here too

HungryHorace · 17/02/2014 09:45

Is anybody else waiting for the AIBU from Bin Lady about it?!

:-)

Why would you leave fetching your car until you need it? Got her comeuppance there!

ISeeYouShiverWithAntici · 17/02/2014 09:49

Won't you get into trouble for having someone's car trapped?

Yes, I know she deserves it Grin but is there any come back on your brother in law for having his van blocking someone getting their car? He isn't going to get a ticket or anything?

Arkina · 17/02/2014 09:50

BIL has parked on private property with owners permission. No laws being broken there to warrant ticketing

drspouse · 17/02/2014 09:52

It's on her land shiver and Bin Lady has parked on her land despite being told that it was her land and that there was a deadline for removing the car.

polarpercy · 17/02/2014 09:52

To be fair Bin Lady has also had a huge amount of notice. She is the one who chose to park illegally and to miss the deadlines because they didn't suit her. I would normally have sympathy but I hate rude people!

Littlegreyauditor · 17/02/2014 09:54

This thread is riveting. No sympathy for Binlady at all. She has behaved like a brat and is getting treated appropriately. Maybe in future she will be less entitled. Grin

sebsmummy1 · 17/02/2014 09:54

They can't get hold of BIL so what's OP meant to do? I'm sure if his can wasn't there OP would have used her zapping device and bin lady would have got her car.

Will be interesting to see where they park their cars now and whether this has just started WW3.

Pipbin · 17/02/2014 09:57

There must be an update soon. If she knocked at 7.30 something must have happened by now.

Quinteszilla · 17/02/2014 09:58

"Won't you get into trouble for having someone's car trapped?"

But her car is trapped while trespassing on somebody elses property though.

Genius.

(I should think that BILs uncle is the local Sheriff here.... Grin )

But I am a bit scared that you lot have resurrected Bin Laden!

RandomMess · 17/02/2014 09:58

Her arrogance levels are unbelievable!

bravo OP and thank you for the best thread ever.

While we await final news of BL's eventual getting her car back, has everyone nominated this thread (and thread 1 of course) for being moved to Classics?

GlaikitFizzog · 17/02/2014 10:00

Anyone else concerned?

Hope all is ok MrsD

4PlusMum · 17/02/2014 10:01

I think the OP would be doing the Island a huge public service by printing out all 3 threads and posting them through Bin Laden's letterbox. She won't change her selfish, entitled behaviour until she knows how the rest of the world Mumsnet views her.

RandomMess · 17/02/2014 10:01

Presumably bin lady had to go to work some other way!

ISeeYouShiverWithAntici · 17/02/2014 10:02

ah, thanks. I don't know what the law/rules are about someone being blocked in even on private land - eg similar to clamping someone, or otherwise denying exit, iyswim.

I am not defending bin lady. I think she has been stubborn to the point of lunacy on this, and certainly taking out her anger on the wrong people! It is her landlord to blame and to him she should be directing anger, but I wonder if she knows he would simply serve notice? Anyway, that's neither here nor there.

I am more concerned that there should be no opportunity for her to feel as though she had had any sort of victory if she were able to call the police and force action to release her car.

I also wasn't sure whether the OP actually has no way of contacting the bil or whether she was just toying with the angry woman. oh dearie dearie me and a wink would suggest to me that this blocking in was planned.

The best outcome is to simply wave her off and lock the bollard into place and know that she is never going to be able to park there again.

Rowgtfc72 · 17/02/2014 10:05

Have just logged onto my mapometer page and lo and. Behold at the bottom of the page is an add for a concrete penguin !

ZenNudist · 17/02/2014 10:05

She probably thought she was being clever, 'ha I'll wake them up early'... So rude. It's not like she'd leave her car in a private car park where she could get ticketed or clamped. Why do it on your property??!

JustforMe · 17/02/2014 10:05

Any updates OP??
