To think ACHICA have the worst customer service ever?

I am so wound up by this company I want to scream.
I ordered 2 very expensive lights in December . One was complete, the other arrived missing the section that attaches it to the ceiling.
2 months later, multiple e mails, diagrams and pictures- still no missing part.
They don't seem to be able to comprehend what I am telling them THERE IS A FUCKING PART MISSING.
And I can't speak to them in the phone, or email them directly.
And I'm nearly £200 down and still no complete item.

Do I win for worst customer service ever?

Aaaah that feels a bit better now.

Can I throw BHS into the ring too?

Parentingfailure · 14/02/2014 12:58

I have a bad Achica habit so am classed as a 'vip' on their system. Any problems get sorted immediately. Try emailing [email protected] to see if they respond.

tobiasfunke · 14/02/2014 13:09

First Utility. I'm not convinced that they actually have a customer service department- it usually takes 45 minutes on hold to actually speak to someone and they never answer emails all while robbing me blind.

QueenofallIsee · 14/02/2014 13:11

I have had good service from Achica OP, no excuse for what you are describing though!

Brand Alley on the other hand...

Oriunda · 14/02/2014 16:46

Stopped using Brand Alley. Stuff takes weeks to arrive and then they cancel half the order due to non availability.

Use Zulilly for children's wear. Their customer service is fantastic. If they cannot deliver something they usually credit me with £5 as an apology. Achica for home wear and occasionally children's' stuff. Gro bags cheaper on Achica than Tk Max.

Maro11 · 14/02/2014 16:57

yes totally agree Achica are awful, better prices elsewhere and really slow answering emails. I will never use again.
Hope you get it sorted OP

Floralnomad · 14/02/2014 17:00

My sister had a damaged picture from Achica and it was dealt with within a couple of days ,2 emails and a photo , so YABU.

GoEasyPudding · 14/02/2014 17:20

I won't order from them again as they didn't deliver something and really didn't care. I did get a refund quickly though.

I just find it a fruitless and time wasting exercise ordering from these bargain designer online companies.

sparkle101 · 14/02/2014 17:29

I'm with throwing bhs into worst ever service as well!

Stuckonthebaby · 14/02/2014 17:33

Here here -they are terrible - and that was when I ordered something about 2 years ago that after 6 weeks still hadn't arrived. It took ages to sort out and I never shopped there again. Interesting to see they are still shite.

WelshMaenad · 14/02/2014 17:49

My sister had terrible service from Achica, ordered a table and chairs, waited as several promised delivery dates came and went; multiple angry phone calls to HQ resulted in them admitting that they had no stock of the table, didn't have any when they accepted her order, and had no prospect of getting any stock ever again. It then took them several more weeks to refund her money. She was tamping.

whiteblossom · 14/02/2014 17:59

yanbu, I ordered a handbag....never arrived after chasing them they eventually said that the seller had run out of stock and they wont be getting any more....ummm at what point were you going to tell me and refund me?! They really didn't care I haven't bought anything since.

Parentingfailure · 14/02/2014 20:25

I have asked for a refund and have to send the lights back. Its a shame as I only wanted the missing part, which they can't seem to grasp.
And now I have to wait in for a courier, grrrrrrrrr

I am beyond fed up with Achica.. three months for a sofa to be delivered.. and now a wardrobe and bed ordered in December!!!... still no sign of it in March And I can't speak to them on the phone, or email them directly.
they should be closed down I am so so fed up with them

mrscynical · 05/03/2014 06:58

Is that the company where you have to be a 'member' to order their awesome crap rather than any old punter who wants to hand over their credit card number?

Confused
ShatnersBassoon · 05/03/2014 07:06

Yes, mrscynical, it's a very exclusive members-only retailer. Like Matalan.

mrscynical · 05/03/2014 07:17

Oh I see...

Sleepyfergus · 05/03/2014 07:21

Contact Watchdog....I can picture Anne Robinson being very withering about a company like Achica!

CocoCha · 05/03/2014 07:22

Achica are spectacularly crap. I won't order from them in future, my blood pressure can't take it.

MangoBiscuit · 05/03/2014 07:38

Very managed to send me some extra t-shirts that I didn't order, and hadn't paid for, so I did the right thing and called them to let them know. They either wanted me to wait in for a whole day for the courrier, or pay to post them back to them! Spent some time going round in circles explaining that no, I won't be paying for their mistake, nor will I be wasting a whole day for them, 3 hour window, fine, but not a whole day. In the end I agreed to walk them over to the nearest collection point, but pointed out that I had no paper work for them, so was concerned whether they'd be accepted or not. Was told that yes, I would need the correct paper work so they'd email it over. Ended call, got email, it's just their address.

BillyAndBamBam · 05/03/2014 07:46

Nothing like your stories but I'm waiting for 3 mugs that I ordered in January. Still no sign I them. I don't understand why it takes so long from ordering to delivery. It's so frustrating.

Smoorikins · 05/03/2014 07:58

It takes so long because they don't have the stuff. They are taking orders and then once that sale closes they tot them up and order the stuff from the company, and then once it arrives they send it out.

At least that's how it was explained to me.

Yy to brandalley being crap. Gave up on them a few years ago. Not had problems with achica, so can't comment on customer service.

IHaveSeenMyHat · 05/03/2014 08:32

Achica sell on the behalf of other companies though. You place the order, and then they pass the order on to the retailer. I doubt very much they could source a replacement part easily, because they were never in possession of the stock in the first place.

So you are maybe a wee bit unreasonable in getting so irate. Better off returning the lot for a refund.

Molecule · 05/03/2014 12:02

This thread has been ongoing since last year. Achica asked for some of the comments to be removed, and every now and again a new poster comes on to say how wonderful Achica service is so it will be interesting if the same happens here.
