To think this bikini line is very much waxed?

Yes, another pube thread.

But scroll down to the photos. Apparently the Mail's picture editors think a teeny tiny triangle is an unwaxed bikini line.

I think I'm with AA on the need for a pube debate after all.

Um well, no, I don't think the mannequins' bikini lines are exactly waxed looking. Surely the point of waxing is to keep your pubes inside your knicker line? I agree about the actual models, that is just daily mail wankery.

specialmagiclady · 18/01/2014 10:17

See what you mean. They have no idea of the sheer effort it takes to maintain that "unwaxed" look. I think it's just an excuse to publish pictures of women in their underwear.

I for one really hope this is the beginnings of a backlash against the shaven haven....

Feelingfatty · 18/01/2014 10:20

Yabu to think that they look like a very small triangle of waxed pubes!! It looks pretty bush like to me! Outside the knicker line therefore not really waxed and neat?! I don't really care about mannequins (other than its a shameless attempt of shock publicity - which has worked!!) but other than that yes yabu!!

MissMilbanke · 18/01/2014 10:21

Well I would consider that to be completely untamed -
But we are all different - so what

ginmakesitallok · 18/01/2014 10:21

The mannequins are just ridiculous, but the real models look pretty kempt to me.

specialmagiclady · 18/01/2014 10:22

If you re-read the OP, she is talking about the real models!

I think OP meant the actual model as opposed to the mannequins, who are rocking the '70's look Grin

WhoNickedMyName · 18/01/2014 10:24

The mannequins are sporting a full 70's bush, with pubes hanging outside the knicker line.

The woman in the pictures further down is waxed.

I really couldn't care less what anyone does with their pubic hair. I really can't bring myself to get my knickers in a twist about this.

bumbleymummy · 18/01/2014 10:26

She's talking about the photos of the models at the bottom which certainly don't look 'unwaxed' as stated in the caption. The mannequins do look a bit unkempt to me. I wouldn't like to wear underwear with my pubes hanging out the sides! If I was going to let it grow out it would be boy shorts all the way Grin

RayPurchase · 18/01/2014 10:27

The models look maybe tidied up - although they are probably only 18/19 and I didnt need to wax at that age so they might be au naturel (for them) Its nice to see a lady with a muff tbh.
The mannekins are ridiculous though - It looks like a school kid prank.

Lakota · 18/01/2014 10:29

OP means the photographs of the actual models, at the bottom of the article, not the mannequins. I agree, they have clearly 'tidied up' so are not unwaxed, just not sporting the full Brazilian wax which is probably more common for underwear models these days. They look fine.

diddl · 18/01/2014 10:31

Sorry, but this is so funny that some think OP is referring to the mannequins.

'Tis worrying that DM think that the model is unwaxed.

I suppose a step forward to perpetuating the myth that women don't have pubes, though.

MissMilbanke · 18/01/2014 10:31

Ah ok I got it wrong !

Starballbunny · 18/01/2014 10:35

The manikins look very like me in summer (just several dress sizes smaller), I have brunette hair and glasses.

I've never waxed in my life, but I do shave my legs and edge of my brush to swimming costume standard in summer.

SuzanneUK · 18/01/2014 10:39

The model's pubes look lovely.

But you'd need a full-scale jungle expedition to beat a path into any of those mannequins.

You couldn't even begin to wax them until you'd been at them for half an hour with a Flymo.

Starballbunny · 18/01/2014 10:43

The model is distinctly tidier than I'd bother with and no doubt looks like, most non all off, younger women do.
(DD1 wears a bikini or very high legged swimming costume and must prune something like that)

dontcallmemam · 18/01/2014 10:44

I bet the model doesn't have stray pubes half way down her inner thigh sporting the true natural look. She just has a neat triangle.

diddl · 18/01/2014 10:58

"edge of my brush"Grin

Mintyy · 18/01/2014 11:01

Ffs at people not bothering to even read the whole op, let alone the whole thread!!

thedogwakesuptoodamnearly · 18/01/2014 11:14

Mannekins with merkins! Brilliant! Grin

But yes, the model on the left looks neatly waxed to me.

ALittleStranger · 18/01/2014 11:45

Yes of course I meant the models.

Although this comment is making me wonder if I was a very strange 19 year old? I doubt it though...

"although they are probably only 18/19 and I didnt need to wax at that age so they might be au naturel (for them)!"

Funnily enough I was reading a short piece by a bikini waxer in the Guardian today (see, balanced media) and she said that many clients were shocked to discover that she waxed around the taint and bum as they seemed to assume they wouldn't have hair there.

Solo · 18/01/2014 12:00

Sorry, but what's a taint Blush

Solo · 18/01/2014 12:02

Mine was really neat like that naturally though until I was about 30.
