To think this bikini line is very much waxed?

Yes, another pube thread.

But scroll down to the photos. Apparently the Mail's picture editors think a teeny tiny triangle is an unwaxed bikini line.

I think I'm with AA on the need for a pube debate after all.

Taint = Perineum

She's definitely waxed and looks much better than the mannequins.

Solo · 18/01/2014 12:13

Thanks! was that a typo or is that a nn for the perineum? not heard of it before (young Wink)

caketinrosie · 18/01/2014 12:14

There are no words Grin

diddl · 18/01/2014 12:22

"She's definitely waxed and looks much better than the mannequins."

So you think women should wax?

HesterShaw · 18/01/2014 12:28

DO YOU WORRA DO YOU? YOU THINK WOMEN SHOULD WAX DO YOU?

I think the hairy mannequins provide an interesting discussion, particularly in the States where it seems a lot of youngsters don't even know about pubic hair.

The DM clearly used it as a heaven sent opportunity to print pics of women in their underwear. Totally transparent.

WorraLiberty · 18/01/2014 12:29

I think women should do whatever they please with their own hair diddl

I'm a bit confused why you asked me that question though?

If I said for example, 'Sharon Osbourne has red hair and looks much better than Lulu'...would you assume I thought all women should dye their hair red? Confused

diddl · 18/01/2014 12:38

Well it reads to me-& of course I apologise if wrong-that you think trimmed pubes look more acceptable.

Birdsgottafly · 18/01/2014 12:47

I prefer a waxed look, that doesn't mean that I think every person doesn't have the right to choose their own grooming routine (I include male beards in that).

I just hope that this doesn't start a backlash against wanting to be hair free.

It won't do anything to get the message across that no-one but the individual should dictate what looks good and is right for them.

I am in my 40's, my earliest experiences of porn had women with pubs in, I've now watched "vintage" porn, as said, I still prefer the hairless look and that is what is right for me.

I would rather it questioned why there are so many images if undressed women in every day culture/media, tbh.

Methe · 18/01/2014 12:49

Omg those mannequins looks like a couple of kittens have crawled in to the pants and fallen asleep!

SuzanneUK · 18/01/2014 12:58

Sorry, but what's a taint?

The bit between your two orifices.

'Taint one thing and 'taint the other.

(if you see what I mean)

Orangeanddemons · 18/01/2014 13:02

I'm sorry, but it looks like some one has shoved pieces of fun fur fabric down those models knickers.

They look like toupees!

TheGreatHunt · 18/01/2014 13:10

Sorry but PMSL at the bushes that have been shoved in. They look very 70s.

I think the idea of fully waxing is ridiculous but nothing wrong with a tidy up. My issue with a full wax is that it looks prepubescent and those who claim they do it because it feels better - you don't have to remove the lot for it to get that feeling. Removing it all makes you look like a girl.

CSIJanner · 18/01/2014 13:13

"They look like toupees!"

Then they could have been more artistic and still provoke a talking point:

Pig tails
Plaits
Ribbons
Strategic dye job to co-incide with valentines day, family day, Presidents' Day

I think they've missed a golden opportunity Grin

diddl · 18/01/2014 13:13

"I prefer a waxed look, that doesn't mean that I think every person doesn't have the right to choose their own grooming routine"

So of course you mean you prefer a waxed look for you & if say at a swimming pool, you happened to see a woman unwaxed, you wouldn't be thinking-"oh god that looks awful & she ought to do something about it"

SuzanneUK · 18/01/2014 13:14

Removing it all makes you look like a girl.

A fair point, but you might similarly say that a man with no facial hair looks like a boy.

diddl · 18/01/2014 13:17

"Removing it all makes you look like a girl."

Well I'm 50 with stretch marks & boobs that are no longer pert.

I don't thnk that anything would make me look like a little girl again tbh.

ALittleStranger · 18/01/2014 13:21

Well of course the models like better than the mannequins. They're actual people and would probably still be more attractive with pubes half way down to their knees.

From some of the comments on the thread it seems to be unacceptable to say you prefer a waxed/trimmed look. Like it's somehow anti-feminist to admit that?

SuzanneUK · 18/01/2014 13:35

Indeed.

There are genuine feminists who seek equality between men and women in all aspects of life, and there are the others who spend their lives condemning women who seek in any way to improve their attractiveness.

WorraLiberty · 18/01/2014 13:43

Well it reads to me-& of course I apologise if wrong-that you think trimmed pubes look more acceptable.

I meant exactly what I said...which was "She's definitely waxed and looks much better than the mannequins."

That's my personal opinion and preference. I don't care what other women do with their pubes and to be honest, I think some people have an unhealthy obsession with other people's hair.

diddl · 18/01/2014 13:45

"From some of the comments on the thread it seems to be unacceptable to say you prefer a waxed/trimmed look. Like it's somehow anti-feminist to admit that?"

As I put-I assume people are saying that they prefer a certain look for themselves & have no opinion on others pubes.

chrome100 · 18/01/2014 14:51

Unwaxed? Definitely! They are very hairy.

bumbleymummy · 18/01/2014 15:03

Do people actually wear swimsuits with pubes hanging out? Confused I would think that looked a bit odd tbh. I would think the same of men wearing little speedoes with pubes out too btw. If you want to let it all grow out that's fine - I just think it's a bit strange to put it on display. Why not just wear a swimming costume that covers it?

AnyFucker · 18/01/2014 15:11

This company must be on it's way out if it has to court such crappy publicity

With a bit of luck
