to think we're all going to be mudered?

I'm away for the Christmas period working for the family I Nanny for at the weekend. We are staying in a mansion/log cabin on the top of a mountain - very very secluded.

On the first night, I heard very light knocking in my room. Quite distinctive as knocking - like one of the kids wanted me. But the kids are on the opposite side of the house and there was no one around. This happened twice (early morning) but I was so tired I didn't think much of it.

The next morning it turned out that everyone in the House had heard the three light knocks at least once in the night.

I checked outside all the windows and there were recent animal prints (think Elk and Bear) and human foot prints circling the house. no one in our group had been outside at all and the prints didn't match anyone's shoes.

Second night, three light knocks again in the dead of night. Everyone heard them at different times.

Third night (last night) the knocks happened again and the four year old boy I look after starts talking about the "blood man" that only he can see being in the House Shock he keeps singing songs about the Blood Man.

AIBU in thinking that we're living some crazy horror film?

Any updates are you still alive

LadyFlumpalot · 31/12/2013 09:10

Were-Elk? Were-Raccoons?

Don't use the outside loo if there is one and for god sake check the backseat of the car before getting in

HappTeeNewYear · 31/12/2013 09:19

Outside loo? This is a mansion in Colorado. There is no outside loo. Trust me on this.

curiousgeorgie · 31/12/2013 09:20

This is bloody terrifying...

And spookily enough, my whole family are skiing right now and one if them text this morning to say they've got some kind of ghost who knocks on the bedroom doors 3 times at night.

I swear.

willyoulistentome · 31/12/2013 09:22

Those "footprints" really close to the house? ??.........
Slenderman, anyone???

melika · 31/12/2013 09:29

LadyFlumpalot · 31/12/2013 09:31

Black Eyed Kids...

StealthPolarBear · 31/12/2013 09:37

OP I am an expert on this sort of stuff (just watched 2 Scooby doos back to back).
If the murderer gets anywhere near you, unveil a brass band and do a little dance. Then when he's exhausted, rip off his mask. My money's on the oldest of your charges.

Sparkletshirt · 31/12/2013 09:55

Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrgghhh! The Daily Fail's on my tablet!!!

On a more serious note, they cannot possibly be devil footprints unless they go up a 20 foot wall and you can clearly see them in the frost. Lazy mail.

I am in UK, yes but you would say that, wouldn't you Hmm

Utterly · 31/12/2013 10:06

OP?? Are you there? do you think she will come back and haunt us? Grin

HappTeeNewYear · 31/12/2013 10:08

It's now 0308 in Colorado.

I would imagine she's still asleep. And not dead.

Buzzardbird · 31/12/2013 10:12

Nearly time for tap tap tap, time to strap on my snow stilts...

thegreylady · 31/12/2013 10:12

Radiator which knocks as it cools/heats.

Pimpf · 31/12/2013 10:20

Poor op! I hope she did get to sleep ok

CheerfulYank · 31/12/2013 10:22

Is Daniel Craig gay?!

Pimpf · 31/12/2013 10:22

CAn I ask that on 2nd jan, assuming Objection hasn't been murdered that be moved to classics

IfNotNowThenWhen · 31/12/2013 10:33

Nah. Course not Cheerful. And neither is George Clooney Wink

Buzzardbird · 31/12/2013 10:33

We get this early morning tapping and yesterday I discovered it was a blackbird objecting to the fact I was late putting the food out. The amount of animal tracks tends to suggest that animals are used to finding a food source there. Animals are cheeky enough to knock.

londonrach · 31/12/2013 10:34

Cheerful - being serious for one minute here re daniel. I have no idea as although i saw him once (leicester square) in the distance ive never spoken to him. He seemed a nice guy shaking everyones hands and signing pieces of paper put in front of him. (my silly camera refused to work until he passed). I dont think hes gay (not that it matters) but just imagine him coming to the rescue of op and the children...

So back to op.. Hope shes ok.

WilsonFrickett · 31/12/2013 10:35

Daniel Craig is not gay. Is married. At least twice as I've met his ex wife.

londonrach · 31/12/2013 10:38

I think daniel is a sensible guy who keeps his private life private as it should be. Nope not gay at all

Catsmamma · 31/12/2013 10:40

I just told dh about this....do you know what he says??

If Daniel Craig is gay then that means Rachel Weisz is back on the market

still, he has fairly cheered up.

RubyGoat · 31/12/2013 10:50

Oh God. I have to go to work soon. How will I manage to wait until this evening for updates!? (Seriously, hope the OP is ok & managed to get some sleep.)

HappTeeNewYear · 31/12/2013 10:57

I have no idea if Daniel is gay nor do I care.

I do think it's amazing he's only a year older than me but looks about 10 years older.

My husband says it's because he's James Bond. It ages a bloke.
