And I have bought him the DVD for Christmas.

AIBU to be a bit upset?

If he's under 7, YANBU.

MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 16/12/2013 16:59

If he is anything like DD he will want to watch it over and over and over so this will save you at least one watch of it.

I know it's annoying.

Sparklingbrook · 16/12/2013 16:59

Brill. He's 11. Grin

can u return it and exchange for a differebt one? Ds is 5 and has watched it about 7 times the whole way through. It is good and well worth watching more than once.

Sparklingbrook · 16/12/2013 17:00

I had visions of watching it as a family on Christmas Day and now we will have DS2 going 'ooh this is a good bit'. Hmm Grin

Why are you upset, were you looking forward to watching it for the first time together ? If so don't worry, it's brilliant and he will want to watch it over and over anyway.

SockPinchingMonster · 16/12/2013 17:00

My kids have watched it 3 times in the last week. It's very good and I'm sure he'll want to watch it again so I wouldn't be too upset.

AryaofhouseSnark · 16/12/2013 17:01

Ha ha x post with lots.

OHforDUCKSchristmasCake · 16/12/2013 17:01

I just bought the kids 1 and 2 for their stockings and ds2 is currently watching all the 'good bits' over and over again on youtube.

I cant wait to see the actual dvds it looks hilarious!

AngelsLieToKeepControl · 16/12/2013 17:01

If he likes it then he will want to watch it again and be even more excited on Christmas when he opens it, if he doesn't like it you have time to take it back and swap it, win, win.

Sparklingbrook · 16/12/2013 17:01

I will stop being upset. it may be Nativity 2 he watches yet which I assume is pants if anything like the first one. Grin

DD has seen it three times at the cinema, DS1 has seen it once, DS2 (and I) have seen it twice.

I'm buying it for DS2 for Christmas because a) he's asked for it and b) I know we'll watch it to death, like we have the first one.

Did you know there's a Minions Movie coming next year? We're stupidly excited Grin

Binkyridesagain · 16/12/2013 17:02

Ah, shit, is Nativity (the first one) cack then? I bought it cheap, but we haven't watched it yet. I'm hoping that Martin Freeman will be worth watching at least!

SantanaLopez · 16/12/2013 17:03

11? YABU, he'll get over it.

I just think the wee ones get more disappointed when they've seen it before.

AryaofhouseSnark · 16/12/2013 17:03

Underwear

Groovee · 16/12/2013 17:04

I love the nativity movies and despicable me. It will be fab to watch it without all the american kids wailing in my ears when we saw it in Florida.

thebody · 16/12/2013 17:04

no don't worry it's brilliant and very watchable again.Grin

Heartbrokenmum73 · 16/12/2013 17:06

If people like the Despicable Me films, can also highly recommend 'Megamind' (with Will Ferrell and Tina Fey). We've also watched that to death in this house Grin

Sparklingbrook · 16/12/2013 17:06

IIRC I thought it was pants but the DC thought it was great Heart. One of those. Like Alvin and the Chipmunks.

YANBU

I'd be jealous of him watching it tomorrow too. I'd much rather be 11 and watching Gru in school than sitting at my desk at work.
