Oh my goodness!! I've been in touch with an old work mate who has recently asked me out but I was unsure etc. WELL tonight he has told me he's having a great old time watching Johnathan Ross, roaring laughing at Keith Lemon.
Oh my God, I'm appalled that someone could be roaring laughing at this! I enquired further and yes he's actually a big Keith Lemon fan.

AIBU to be seriously put off him now?

I'm not sure Urcycled, I just turned it on because I was expecting hilarity. I'm still cringing from the depths of my soul!!

Upcycled · 06/12/2013 00:17

Yep. I googled him. YANBU.

Ludoole · 06/12/2013 00:17

I LOVE Keith Lemon! Grin
Guaranteed to make me smile even on a really crappy day.

SignoraStronza · 06/12/2013 00:22

I love Keith Lemon (well, the character of). But then I can bejust as puerile as the average Viz reading bloke when I want to be. Think Leigh Francis is rather clever.

So yes, YABU.

PeriodFeatures · 06/12/2013 00:23

Yes, I love Keith Lemon. He is completely puerile and ridiculous.

Through the Keyhole was the funniest thing that has been on TV for a long time.

Myperfectdisease · 06/12/2013 00:24

I think Keith Lemon is hilarious but I'd be put off a bloke if he held him up as some sort of idol.

You see a few numpties around town wearing 'Bang tidy' tshirts. Them I'd avoid. Grin

YADNBU

What's next OP? He starts playing Barry Manilow records? He declares that Kim Jong-un is his favourite politician? He cites Daniel O'Donnell as his style icon?

RUN LIKE THE WIND!

ToysRLuv · 06/12/2013 03:17

YANBU! Leigh Francis seems so smug. And thinks he is a lot funnier than he is. So try hard and utter shite. SIL and BIL like him Confused

sonlypuppyfat · 06/12/2013 03:42

Oh he is about as funny as a flare up of piles.

HungryHorace · 06/12/2013 04:08

YANBU.

He probably also has Mrs Browns' Boys on series link!

HungryHorace · 06/12/2013 04:09

Or even Brown's. Early morning apostrophe fail!

HairyBeaver · 06/12/2013 06:30

I love celebrity juice!! Has me in stitches every week

I even have some bang tidy pants GrinWinkShock

FiscalCliffRocksThisTown · 06/12/2013 07:01

Yanbu

Smoorikins · 06/12/2013 07:03

I reckon if something like that is enough to put you off, you arent that into him anyway.

If you were really keen, it wouldn't have been such a big deal.

YANBU

Financeprincess · 06/12/2013 07:10

My DH describes Keith Lemon as being about as funny as a fire in an orphanage.

I can see where you're coming from, OP. It's an indication of the other person's mindset, which might be quite different to yours. I'd still give it a whirl though. It might be a minor aberration. Take your trainers. Then if he plays Barry Manilow and tells you about his love for Kim Jong-un (or Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, or UKIP, or the Taleban) you can do as Squoosh suggests!

Morgause · 06/12/2013 07:10

YANBU

Sparklingbrook · 06/12/2013 07:28

He's just a character though. Confused

LessMissAbs · 06/12/2013 08:43

Finally, someone more fussy and judgemental than me!

Seriously, I think comedians are a very individual taste, and people can often be quite innocent in their appreciation of them.

nancerama · 06/12/2013 08:47

DH and I love to snigger along to Through 't Keyhole, and I love a bit of Celebrity Juice too.

Humour is a very personal thing though - I couldn't have a relationship with someone who didn't share that same sense of humour as me.

Straitjacket · 06/12/2013 09:09

I think YABU.

I love Celebrity Juice. Has me in stitches every time it is on!
