My next door neighbours are a lovely retired couple. They have an adult daughter who often comes to visit.

It totally gets on my wick that she parks her car in the road across the bottom of their drive, rather than pulling into their drive like a normal person would.

ARGH!!

No, it's none of my business. Yes, I have more important things to worry about. No, it doesn't affect my life at all.

It just makes me INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you.

What a ray of Christmas joy you are today!

HarkTEEHeraldAngelsSing · 02/12/2013 13:07

I know! What's up with that?

What is it with pointless things that are so annoying?

A woman I work with puts her coat round her shoulders when she's cold instead of just putting her arms in it.
I hate her face.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 02/12/2013 13:13

The person on the desk next to me breathes

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 02/12/2013 13:13

nothing is wrong with it.

I'm waiting for the 'AIBU - I live near a nice family and we have good relations but the mother blows very hot and cold. Every time our daughter visits she glares and gets a really cats bum expression. Any ideas what her problem is?'

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 02/12/2013 13:13

Though that isn't really pointless. Though he is!

MistAllChuckingFrighty · 02/12/2013 13:15

I hate people that say "basically..." and then go on to give a much-more-than-basic lecture to the point where it induces coma

I hate people who talk about themselves all the time and never listen.

farrowandbawlbauls · 02/12/2013 13:16

There is a gate at school the width of a standard doorway. Every single fucking day people insist on standing in it, usually there's two people doing this, blocking it completely. With prams, dogs and kids on scooters behind them blocking the rest of the pavement.

FUCKING MOVE to one side and GET OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY YOU SELFISH GITS.

Chattymummyhere · 02/12/2013 13:19

We have a nice neighbour but when her parents visit (sometimes weekends some times for weeks) every month they bring an annoying yappy dog that never shuts the hell up which sets off other dogs, which sets of mine... Then they get pissed off with the other dogs including mine because their baby just wants to see what's going on

HarkTEEHeraldAngelsSing · 02/12/2013 13:20

I was in my bedroom closing the windows when she pulled up today and I gave her such a glare. She wasn't looking at me though.

Well jel Tea Envy

The guy who sits opposite me is beautiful.
Seriously, he would make you weep.
And he doesn't even have the good grace to be conceited. He's lovely.

I'm so glad I only work 2 days a week.
The effort involved in not getting all 'young maaan' is exhausting.

HoneyDragon · 02/12/2013 13:26

UANBU Grin

I don't mind that neighbours across the road are having work done on the house and have to parkon the road. I don't mind that this means they are parking in the place usually used by another neighbours boyfriend.

I don't mind that the boyfriend always parks on the road rather the her drive.

I don't even mind him now parking in front of our house.

But

The fact that rather than park central to the dropped kerb he always reverses back so about a foot of his car is infront of my dropped kerb. Not blocking it, just making it awkward to turn in makes me want to take a chain saw to the offending section of car and drop it on neighbours front garden.

FandangoLaLaLaLaLaLaLaaaa · 02/12/2013 13:35

My next door neighbours are parking twats. They have a 2 car (in width not even length) driveway and one car. If you park in front of their house they stand in their open doorway and glare at you Hmm and when you move, they move their car off their spacious driveway into the space. WHY? It's inly making their own life more difficult.

They're twats in general though, a few years ago they started parking their car in their back garden as they'd pissed off the local kids so much (by screaming at them in the street for nothing) that they started putting chewing gum under the door handles Confused.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 02/12/2013 13:45

At Christmas why is it nearly always a fayre not fair?

And a big huh to the lady who frostily informed me at the Christmas fair yesterday,
"My puddings are all home-made I know what goes in them"
when I checked the ingredients because I was concerned about nuts and there wasn't any labelling to describe what was in them. Yes you know but I don't!

lougle · 02/12/2013 13:47

MistAllChuckingFrighty I was at a training course and the leader kept saying 'Logically,.....'

I was inwardly seething, thinking 'it isn't logical at all. It's your opinion and logic would allow several courses of action in this situation.'

He must have known, somehow, because the more I noticed it the more he said it.

HarkTEEHeraldAngelsSing · 02/12/2013 13:50

I do love a good curmudgeon thread!

Donkeys fayre is an archaic spelling of fair. Either fayre, Fare, or Fair (or even Faire) would be acceptable.

LauraStora · 02/12/2013 13:51

My bin collection people always leave my bin, once emptied, in the middle of my drive, so if I'm going out I have to move it first, and if I'm coming back I have to leave my car idling and unattended in the middle of the fucking public carriageway while I get out and move it three feet to one side so I can drive my own fucking car onto my own fucking driveway. What the shit is their problem?!

MistAllChuckingFrighty · 02/12/2013 13:52

lougle I can imagine you sitting there sending daggers with your eyes

I have been known to let out a very loud (involuntary) sigh when faced with pompous arses like that. Especially when they run over the fucking time allocated (thus eating into your free time)

LookingThroughTheFog · 02/12/2013 13:54

I really want my lovely, friendly, helpful but overwhelmingly chatty new neighbour to just shut the fuck up already.

He hasn't even moved in yet. He's been building the house for over a year. No, I don't want to go around for Christmas drinks like good neighbours do.

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 02/12/2013 13:56

I would like the repair man in town to return my boot. He's had it a month. How fucking long does it take to put in one zip? Give me my fucking boot back!

I would also like my autocorrect to fuck off. Yes I did mean to say fucking, you moronic machine, ducking is just not gonna cut it. Hmm

lougle · 02/12/2013 13:56

I had to avoid eye contact Blush because I could feel my eyes rolling.

sebsmummy1 · 02/12/2013 13:58

Oh I am loving this thread girls. Particularly the angry parking posts.
