My next door neighbours are a lovely retired couple. They have an adult daughter who often comes to visit.

It totally gets on my wick that she parks her car in the road across the bottom of their drive, rather than pulling into their drive like a normal person would.

ARGH!!

No, it's none of my business. Yes, I have more important things to worry about. No, it doesn't affect my life at all.

It just makes me INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you.

Just received my annual Christmas card from a member of my family. The Christmas card is always a picture of themselves, used to be just them but now them and children. I find it totally nauseating, probably because they are the 'chosen' ones in the family. They are perfectly nice but hate their Christmas cards...

sebsmummy1 · 06/12/2013 16:34

Oh god that reminds me that I used to absolutely loathe getting Christmas cards from smug marrieds who would sign off 'George, Mildred and bean/bump/bundle of cells' whatever sickly sweet euphemism they had conjured up for their embryo. Made me want to punch a wall.

Ohh I am also a tree removal rage, our road is an avenue and had beautiful magnolia trees all along it, it was one of the things that I loved, the council has removed them all.
Leaving stumps to remind me of how lovely it used to be.
I often consider replanting them by stealth one night

I did ask them could they not plant new ones but apparently the fact that our path is Tarmac and not paving means that they won't.

2 years on and I still have the rage

SirRaymondClench · 06/12/2013 22:33

I fucking LOVE Magnolia trees!
Woe betide any fucker that kills one!

Removing magnolias should be made illegal. I feel your pain.

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 06/12/2013 23:13

Oh and now I have a new rage.

I don't know whether it was the storm but we seem to have lost half the channels on the freesat box.

Would the dish have moved? How come we've still got some channels?

I had a tantrum this morning for no reason other than I was tired and did not want to get up. I am ashamed.

I was not pissed off at anyone or anything, just pissed off - I woke up, had a 1 minute strop and "grrr'd" and hit the pillow a few times then promptly fell back asleep 'with a frown on my face' (according to my husband).

Thankfully, he just left me to my grumpy snooze and brought me up my breakfast 20 mins later which alleviated things - I am right in the mood for a grumble again now though!

(May go and look for chopped down trees or parking transgressions that don't affect me in the slightest, to give me a reason!).

There's a new group on my Facebook page.

It's called 'Parking Like A Twat In (Ilovestown)'.

There's been some corkers on there but there's also been some desperate ones. I don't know what annoys me more, the twatish parkers or the 'oh look your tyre is one mm over the line, I'm so offended!' pictures.

I like arguing with them.

gubbygubby · 07/12/2013 21:41

Sad:

Smile

gubbygubby · 07/12/2013 21:43

Ok, how do you work the smileys. I'm angry because I can't do it. I've had 3 glasses of cava though

I am sneaking back onto this thread to confess the most awful thing.

I am usually a crotchety old moaning face (inside my head) and I like it. Over the last few days I appear to have had a personality transplant and it manifested itself today with me being irrationally jolly to several strangers; they responded in kind to my smiles and random conversation in town and I have come home feeling quite buoyant and smiley.

Hopefully things will go back to normal when Christmas passes.
