and your question is?

scaevola · 01/12/2013 08:30

I don't get it.

You're laughing out loud about a fairly intrusive medical condition?

Though I note there's a "re" in e thread title. You don't mention a back story in the opening post, though.

justtoomessy · 01/12/2013 08:32

snoring by any chance?

feelinlucky · 01/12/2013 08:35

I missed what happened in the thread but what I did see I thought was hilarious :).

Mummytotwox · 01/12/2013 08:35

It explains why I was so angry last night, I obviously have that.

Ohh my he has a cold so snoring like a whale calling

Really? I do hope not.

It's strongly associated with Tourettes - how far have you gone down a diagnostic pathway for this condition? I know it's not much fun to live with, and impacts on lots of parts of life.

Mummytotwox · 01/12/2013 08:42

I haven't, I'm going to the drs tomorrow as it's getting worse x

Good luck - any idea how long it'll take you for a referral?

OldDaddy · 02/12/2013 16:56

The first few lines states it was coined by american neurosciences. Which should give it away that it's all bulls*it. As in the way every second kid seems to be on medication for ADHD.

KungFuBustle · 02/12/2013 17:45

Try not to worry yourself too much. Like most things there's a scale. Noise aversion can be like the link, some with ASD struggle with noise, and sometimes everyone gets annoyed with a snoring husband.

It's very hard to live normally with the condition.

Livesforbedtime · 02/12/2013 20:17

Old daddy Hmm I presume you have a psychiatry degree for your obviously crap opinion?

Every second kid is NOT diagnosed with ADHD - in fact any parent of a child with it will tell you it's months and months of assessments and appointments plus school and home observations.

Please stop talking such utter shit on a subject you know nothing about Angry sick to death of reading this shit.

Livesforbedtime · 02/12/2013 20:19

Op, hope you get appropriate support. My ds has a form of this (ASD) and it's absolute hell for him

Hello, OldDaddy.

We're currently running a campaign called 'This Is My Child' which is aimed to dispel myths surrounding conditions such as ADHD. www.mumsnet.com/campaigns/this-is-my-child

I have always struggled with things like this. When I used to walk to the train station a woman used to walk behind me every morning with her shoes going clip clip clip and I'd get incensed, even started to think she was doing it on purpose (mad I know) If someone's leg is bouncing up and down it's ALL I can see to the point of having to restrain from pushing a strangers leg down to the floor

tinmug · 02/12/2013 20:27

lol

2Tinsellytocare · 02/12/2013 20:36

?

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 02/12/2013 21:22

God yes, fidgeting is one of my serious pet hates.

Did you see your GP today then? How did it go?
