To think Royal Mail don't actually work on Mondays?

Never have a Monday delivery, the redelivery phone line is never answered Mondays, there's always 'staff shortage' at the mail redelivery front counter, and if you book red,overly online then Wednesday is the 'next available slot'...

It's happened every time so it can't be coincidence.

Any ex-RM employees (obv you'd have to be disloyal ones ) want to spill the beans and confirm you all take an easy day at work on Mondays?

Just opened to for to a delivery so YABU! only ordered the package on Friday afternoon so am very impressed.

I never get a delivery on Tuesday. Is this a hang over from "no work on Mondays" or a separate "no work" day??

We never get a delivery on Tuesdays too.

Ordered some stuff on ebay on friday night and have just opened the door to the post man.
So YABU.

Well I got my post an hour or so ago, I guess every area is different. Do you live somewhere very rural?

YABU I live in north scotland & i got something today that was posted on friday from down south. The post office this morning wasnt busy. I managed to be in & out in less than 5 mins.

I got post today. Shite though (hospital appointment reminder and a Studio catalogue)

Yabvu I wish my dp had every monday off from delivering letters the dcs might see him then. This time of year he leaves for work before they get up and they are lucky if he is home begore they go to bed.

I am convinced that I am not getting daily deliveries and that sone days are skipped - not necessarily tge same days each week but I reckon I am getting post 4 or 5 days max

It seems that the new videogame DS1's dad ordered from him has gone astray in the post. This isn't the first videogame shaped amazon package that has gone astray in the post...

I've no idea what's going on with our post. For the last 4 weeks we've had nothing all week then 15-20 items all turn up at about 2pm on Friday afternoon. Some with post dates of several days ago.

We're in an odd location, set way back from the main road up a long, narrow drive (with 2 other houses though!), I'm wondering if we've got temp posties who just have no idea where our house is.

Even on the days we DO get post it's at least 2pm.

I work at the PO. I definitely hand over the mail to the postmen on a Monday and they do show up at our office.

I'm convinced royal mail is only a part time service round our way. We never get any post on a Monday or Tuesday ever.

I have a friend who phoned the sorting office to query her lack of post for an entire week, and was told that her usual postman had moved to another round and there was no one to replace him with. She was invited to go and collect her post from the sorting office

We got the usual pile of junk mail today but never have post on Saturdays. I thought that was because postmen need paying more at weekends.

We call it 'no post Monday' in this house!

YANBU. We never seem to get anything on a Monday, and there's gradually more during the week.

I got some birthday cards for my son and my gorgeous ball gown arrived today which was posted Friday 2nd class! They deliver everyday here

YANBU Never ever get post here on Mondays. Usually get loads on Tuesdays, presumably because they've been saving up the Monday stuff.

Alot of post on monday is 2nd class as it gets sorted on sunday day time or saturday first class there are no collections on sunday I got loads of mail today at work Tues will be busy as work places are returning replies from monday work

Royal mail is a 24 hour operation the only days there dont work is xmas day and boxing day

If you go on the royal mail website and look in on the help and support tab you can find a list of incidents its updated every day so you can use if your area had any problems I know there was industrial action in a delivery office down south today so only special delivery tracked were getting sent out also the upsurge of post has started and the royal mail xmas casuals are just starting many for tge first time so mistakes happen and they sort slower

I hardly ever get mail on Monday or Tuesday.

Delivery office dont empoly xmas temps either my delivery office which serves my work are 4 people down that 4 full time employers theres only so much a human can do

Also royal are doing remordersation on the walks so postal walks are getting split and added to other walks so your post last month might of arrived at 10 am but now arrives at 11 am
