To think Royal Mail don't actually work on Mondays?

Never have a Monday delivery, the redelivery phone line is never answered Mondays, there's always 'staff shortage' at the mail redelivery front counter, and if you book red,overly online then Wednesday is the 'next available slot'...

It's happened every time so it can't be coincidence.

Any ex-RM employees (obv you'd have to be disloyal ones ) want to spill the beans and confirm you all take an easy day at work on Mondays?

We normally get nothing on Mondays, very occasional leaflet. Never addressed post.

We get mail alternate days - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Never Tuesday or Thursday. It's been like that for months. I've also had several CDs, a voucher and some birthday cards stolen this year. I'm not sure that Royal Mail "works" at all.

I get post every day (mostly junk mail...but hey..! ). I got seven items today.....

We too have noticed we never get letters on a Monday.

Huge bit of old gimmerishness here: when I was a kid I could write a postcard to a phoneless friend at the other end of the town in the morning, inviting her to come and play (pre playdate) that afternoon. She would get it at 11or 12, second post, and duly appear later on. There was also a delivery on Christmas Dsy, though I don't blame them for stopping that.

Never, ever get post on Mondays. Was thinking the same thing as the OP
