The woman I share an office with has had the window open since 9 o'clock this morning and it's freezing . I asked at lunch time if we could close it and she agreed with a bit of a face Angry.

Came back from a meeting a while ago and she had bloody opened it again. WIBU to slam it closed with a big annoyed sigh?

Yes,slam it shut in a dramatic style.

It's bloody freezing today.

PooInTheNight · 19/11/2013 16:16

Yanbu! Don't even ask, she didn't.

usualsuspect · 19/11/2013 16:20

Or sit their in your coat and scarf.

usualsuspect · 19/11/2013 16:20

There* [tut]

sandfrog · 19/11/2013 16:24

Is it a stuffy office with an unpleasant smell?

usualsuspect · 19/11/2013 16:27

Oh yes ,good point, did you have a shower this morning,OP? Grin

valiumredhead · 19/11/2013 16:27

I bet it's really hot and stuffy and you're one of those people who claim they are freezing when the temp drops below 21 degrees for a nano secondWink

valiumredhead · 19/11/2013 16:28

Or you have bad BOGrin

Arabesque1 · 19/11/2013 16:28

No, it's a nice airy room. She's just one of those people who always has to have 'fresh air'. But I think expecting to have the window open all day is a bit selfish. I could understand her wanting to open it for a while after a couple of hours if she feels the room is getting a bit warm. But even then, there should be some compromise. The default position shouldn't be that the window is open unless I ask for it to be closed (and then be bloody opened again as soon as I step out of the room for a couple of minutes). Sad

LOL. Yes, I had a shower and used deodorant and am wearing a nice but light smelling perfume. And no, I didn't have tuna sandwiches or a microwaved curry for lunch. Grin

Oooh i'd hate this! YANNNNNBU.

I am a chilly bod, and my sinus' play up if the air gets too cold for too long.

I like to be cozy!

Close the window.

Arabesque1 · 19/11/2013 16:32

Just closed it. Got a sour look but nothing said.

She's now fanning herself with a piece of A4 paper and looking over in my direction. I think I'm going to start laughing. Smile.

Hmm, is she, say, late 40s/early 50s?

NoArmaniNoPunani · 19/11/2013 16:35

Maybe she has terrible farts today and didn't want to inflict them upon you. You'll soon find out now the window is closed.

usualsuspect · 19/11/2013 16:35

Give her a fan for her desk.

Anniegetyourgun · 19/11/2013 16:35

(No I'm not in an office right now!)

Arabesque1 · 19/11/2013 16:36

No, she's not menopausal. I heard all about her cramps last week Sad.

OP posts:
usualsuspect · 19/11/2013 16:36

Has she taken her cardi off in a mardy style?

Joysmum · 19/11/2013 16:37

Hubby likes windows open and really does get hot at much lower temperatures than me. Our DD takes after him and is also a little hot water bottle.

I can dress in extra layers to be comfortable, not so easy for hot people to cool down. So I'm outnumbered and appreciate that it's easier for me to dress up and be comfortable than them to strip down to nothing!

Arabesque1 · 19/11/2013 16:38

She's just sighed and taken her jacket off and made a big deal of putting it carefully over the back of her chair. Grin

I used to have a boss that opened the Windows all the time.

Bloody gale force winds blowing through. She said it was refreshing Hmm

Anniegetyourgun · 19/11/2013 16:43

Ooh! You made her take her jacket off! What a mean old moo you are.

Knotter · 19/11/2013 16:43

My colleague is like this - asks if she can open the window when her hand is already on the window handle and beginning to open! Sometimes I dare to close it, if so a fan gets turned on full blast! I guess I will have to start wearing my coat.
