Because DH looked at me askance tonight.

What a bastard.

gallicgirl · 15/11/2013 23:09

I'd be vexed about that.

Salmotrutta · 15/11/2013 23:12

I suffer from ennui too.

And I might be enciente this is an utter lie as I'm post-menopausal

Heaven forfend Shock

I would have been sorely irked with that.

You should liberate yourself from the scoundrel.

Salmotrutta · 15/11/2013 23:16

I'm discombobulated if truth be told...

OP posts:
samandi · 15/11/2013 23:17

Don't be causing a kerfuffle now.

Salmotrutta · 15/11/2013 23:17

And suffering from ague too...

Salmotrutta · 15/11/2013 23:19

My neighbour is a bounder and a cad too.

It's most distressing.

CocacolaMum · 15/11/2013 23:19

He sounds like an utter arriviste. LTB

MrsTerryPratchett · 15/11/2013 23:19

I can tell my ennui joke on this thread! Hooray!

What do you call a bored footballer? Thierry Ennui.

Salmotrutta · 15/11/2013 23:20

Well, he may also be a scoundrel

OP posts:
BlackeyedSusan · 15/11/2013 23:21

can you disambiguate your posts so that the hoi poloi can understand. (I am off to find a dictionary to learn how to spell and for definitions)

Salmotrutta · 15/11/2013 23:21

I'm deadly serious Mrs TerryP

OP posts:
Salmotrutta · 15/11/2013 23:23

I think you'll find that disambiguation is the preserve of the carpetbagger Susan

OP posts:
MrsTerryPratchett · 15/11/2013 23:24

Well, I'm discombobulated about that Salmo.

AgentZigzag · 15/11/2013 23:24

Why castigate the casualty of the quandry samandi?

BOF · 15/11/2013 23:26

I think your assumption that nobody else uses 'askance' somewhat atavistic, Salmotrutta. In fact, it seems to me that several posters on MN are somewhat solipsistic...

MrsTerryPratchett · 15/11/2013 23:27

This thread is unashamed frippery.

nobutreally · 15/11/2013 23:27

I used comestibles in a fb post t'other day and had 3 compliments on the back of it

Salmotrutta · 15/11/2013 23:27

There is a dearth of antimacassars on this thread.

Save our chairs from the threat of brylcreem!!!

OP posts:
BlackeyedSusan · 15/11/2013 23:27

i have just had to explain diambiguate to a 7 year old. the british museum website is not always the best source of info for homework.

Salmotrutta · 15/11/2013 23:28

Atavism is the curse of the savage.

OP posts:
nobutreally · 15/11/2013 23:29

Oh, and my 9yo used discombobulated unprompted in his spelling sentences last week. I don't think I've ever been happier.

AgentZigzag · 15/11/2013 23:30

Desist from being such a rabble-rouser BOF.

You're just invoking a quibble.
