very long day

Kikibee · 31/10/2013 22:18

My autocorrect calls it Halloween, so that is what I do :)

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 31/10/2013 22:19

Don't be a Halloweiner.

hazeyjane · 31/10/2013 22:20

I think you can call it halloween, hallowe'en, Samhain, All Hallows' Eve - they would all be correct.

MrsBennetsEldest · 31/10/2013 22:20

YABU and a boring trumpy bottom:)

parakeet · 31/10/2013 22:21

YABU. Next!

Velocitractor · 31/10/2013 22:22

Kikibee - I admire your faith in autocorrect Grin

BillyBanter · 31/10/2013 22:22

YANBU - I'm with you. Even if fecking autocorrect isn't.

usualsuspect · 31/10/2013 22:32

Ya'bu

Financeprincess · 31/10/2013 22:32

I don't think YABU, but I am a self-confessed fusspot. I come close to apoplexy in Leeds station every time I hear an announcement about "eskewlators" rather than escalators. Pedants of the world, unite!

ExitPursuedByABogieMan · 31/10/2013 22:33

I'm with you OP.

WorraLiberty · 31/10/2013 22:34

Yes you would be unreasonable

And a bit silly too

ZombieMonkeyButler · 31/10/2013 22:34

I started a similar thread last December, asking people to take the trouble to write/type Christmas NOT Xmas.

It was much unappreciated. People just don't want to be told how to spell their beloved holidays Grin.

MadAsFish · 31/10/2013 22:36

Shouldn't it be Hallow'een, anyway? I mean, you need the long e sound; if it was Hallowe'en, that would be hallow en, not hallow een.

I ignore it anyway, so don't know why I'm commenting!

ExitPursuedByABogieMan · 31/10/2013 22:37

Halloween Shock ^^^

WorraLiberty · 31/10/2013 22:38

On a site with members that can't be bothered to type 'son', 'daughter', 'husband' etc?? Grin

MadAsFish · 31/10/2013 22:40

Xmas has been written like that since the mid 1500's, by the way.

ceramicunicorn · 31/10/2013 22:42

Madasfish. I'm in shock.
