To unfriend this person on FB?

They keep writing about food they find delicious and end the description with (and it makes my teeth hurt to write this) the words 'nom nom'.

Is this:

A) acceptable and IABU
B) unacceptable and I should gently suggest she perhaps use 'yum yum'
C) completely unacceptable and should be De-friended immediately?

I can be unreasonable about munching noises, I nearly came to blows with someone chowinh down on some crisps on a train once... and lost it with a co-worker who sat across from me and was attemting to eat carrot sticks quietly for an entire 3 hours - And that magnum advert where she but through the chocolate coating made me pathologically enraged. As does 'nom nom'.

Nom is the most idiotic word ever

KellyHopter · 21/09/2013 18:06

Ugh...no, yanbu at all.

(I have to confess to a similar reaction to your use of 'chowing down on some crisps' though- never again please!)

PoisonedApple · 21/09/2013 18:10

I had to use'chowing down'! It was so IRRITATING that munching just didn't cover it!

mrspremise · 21/09/2013 19:01

I say 'nommers! 'which I like to think is even worse, it is an irresistibly irritating thing to do.... Wink

Laurel1979 · 21/09/2013 19:01

YANBU I hate it too. Although not as much as the people who are always "feeling blessed!"

pertempsnooo · 21/09/2013 19:18

...is it from a film? I mean if you say it you Must know?!

ladymariner · 21/09/2013 19:20

YANBU but worse even than the 'feeling blessed' brigade (and they are wildly irritating) are those who put cryptic messages then when some gullible fool kind person asks if they're ok then reply they don't want to talk about it.......now that sends me skywards!!

honeybunny14 · 21/09/2013 19:25

I would unfriend lol HATE that word nom

numbum · 21/09/2013 19:30

Tiredmumno1 · 21/09/2013 19:41

BlueSkySunnyDay · 21/09/2013 19:46

Words that warrant unfriending "nom", "hun" "amazeballs"

mehimandthegirls · 21/09/2013 19:50

I think maybe we are friends with the same person.....

Mine describes food like she is on a marks and spencer advert Angry
I wouldn't mind but she have griddled seasoned rump lamb steaks with oven baked vine tomatoes and blah blah and she is on the bloody social with 4 kids!

I have hid her posts.

AwkwardSquad · 21/09/2013 21:18
